Hi everyone,
I'm not sure what to write about myself here, but for starters, I'm 43, single, 5'5" and about 30 to 40 extra pounds which I'm trying to lose. I've lost 20 pounds in the last 6 months through diet and exercise and doctor's orders. I'm currently employed at a local parking garage as a customer service representative. I own my own home on 40 acres in the country. I have several cars and trucks. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat, and would not be without at least 1 pet at any time if I could help it. I love all animals. I like all music, you'd be shocked at just how eclectic my cd, and vinyl collection really is!! I read voraciously, and watch TV sporadically. I spend a lot of time on my computer playing games or on Facebook. I've just discovered a new RPG called Evony, and have become addicted to it. My favorite music is country and classic rock, but as stated already I like it all. I enjoy all reading material from the local newspaper right up to science fiction and even some romances. My hobbies are working on my cars/trucks, and my computer. I enjoy being out in the fresh air when the weather is nice, and working in my yard/garden. I'm always willing to make new friends, and try to avoid making enemies.
I love to cook, although I don't seem to have the time as often as I'd like to.
I am not a neat freak, although I am able to tell you where anything is in the house. I keep myself clean and groomed, especially if I'm going out, (which is too rare now-days)

I changed careers about 1 yr ago, after 11 years in the security field. I'm trying to keep myself from getting into debt again after just about going bankrupt. I have been spending my days, (the nice ones anyway), out in the yard cleaning up. I have piles of things to organize that were left to me when my father passed away, and I've only just started to get into them.

Listening to other peoples problems, and sometimes I'll even have a good solution. If I don't have a good solution, I'll still sit and listen. I have good broad shoulders if you need to cry or vent.

The first things people notice about me??

I guess it would have to be my lack of style/fashion sense.
I wear what I feel comfortable with, and style be damned!!

My favorite books tend to change with my mood. Right now I'm into sci-fi, but I could just as easily be into westerns or adventure/mystery by tomorrow

My favorite movies are musicals, followed by old black & white classics, (non-colorized, please), some comedies, and most action adventure movies. I also like the old silent pictures.

My music favorites tend to run the gamut from A Capella to Zydeco, and I have probably at least 1 instance of every genre in my collection.
I collect recorded music in all it's formats, from old reel-to-reel tapes, 8-tracks, cassettes, vinyl, cd, dvd.
I will listen to anything, including music sung in a language that I don't understand, because I don't thing the language is as important as the music.

I might actually faint, since I don't think these things really work.

Sitting here in front of my computer, and listening to music or watching TV, or even sometimes all 3. Usually have a beer or other intoxicating beverage or 2 or 3 as well. I won't drive when I'm impaired, so I don't like to drink excessively when I go out.

Still looking for my first relationship. I've had lots of female friends over the years, but I have never been able to move it to the next stage. I'm not desperate or anything, but it would be nice to find someone to share my life, or at least part of it with.

Any of the above statements seem interesting to you, or even if you just want to meet for coffee and see what might happen.
