My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a shy person who's perfectly happy to just hang out with a few friends over going clubbing or what have you. I'm originally from Chicago and I'm still steeped in a ton of hometown pride. I am in Houston doing my best to be an architect while not compromising my artistic ambitions, which seems to take a lot of my time.

I try to draw and paint when I can to get any and all ideas on paper. I love just about all music, but will gravitate towards classic rock when I can, and will often play guitar when things are a little stressful. I enjoy reading, but it tends to almost always be architectural theory books.

I'd like to think I have a good sense of humor, but it tends not to be subtle or logical.

I love movies, good and bad. I love to watch and dissect "artsy" films, but also enjoy a good scare from a horror movie or a good laugh from a terrible horror movie. A perfect evening for me would be to watch some horrible schlock of a movie and make fun of it with a group of friends.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
update time!
I just finished getting my Masters of Architecture degree and plan on working the corporate scene in Houston. I have a steady job in town, so I can't just pack up and leave, but staying here forever isn't something I'm looking to do. Architecture comes with it's own lifestyle of limited free time, high stress, and no sleep.

The next big step for me is to cash in on my dual citizenship and move to Berlin, but nothing is written in stone. When all is said and done, I would like to teach a design studio at a university.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening. I hate confrontation and appreciate hearing all arguments and opinions without judgment. I like taking part in conversations, but I like observing conversations even more.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My hair. It's long and generally hard to manage. After that it would be my laugh, which I have always figured was annoying.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I love music and it's hard for me to find something I don't enjoy listening to. That being said, I am a die-hard Beatles fan and tend to enjoy classic rock more than anything. That's not to say that I don't like other music (I'm pretty all over the place - Smashing Pumpkins, Beck, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Aimee Mann, the White Stripes, Silversun Pickups, The Pixies, The Undertones, The Royal Guardsmen, the list is almost endless...). Although I have a hard time enjoying newer rap or hip-hop.

I enjoy reading. You'll usually find me buried in some sort of architectural theory book, but I also like to read history books, most non-fiction (Especially things like Catch-22 or anything by Kurt Vonnegut). That's not to say that you won't catch me reading Calvin and Hobbes or Dilbert from time to time.

I tend to like comedies over any other shows, but appreciate well written dramas and cannot stand reality tv or shows like American Idol. I particularly like shows like Arrested Development, Community, Boss, Life's Too Short, Spy, Archer, the list could go on for ages.

I'm open to all foods and will try anything once, but I'm partial to my hometown goodies like deep dish pizza. I'm also a huge fan of anything spicy (Thai, Indian, etc.)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Architecture - What can I say, it's my life.
Art
Music
My guitars (and most recently, a sitar)
Books
The Internet
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where my life is going to take me. I have a lot of aspirations for the future and it's nice to think about the different ways they could play out. Whether it's future designs, paintings, books, movies, I can't help but wonder what will happen to me and where I will go. Also that I apparently live in the "Reality Bites" house.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with friends. Nothing fancy; just a few beers and a movie. Sometimes going to a show or having a jam session.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I drink way too much coffee for my own good and sleep about 4 to 6 hours a night. I don't remember which one caused the other.

You want to have a jam session, go to a movie, or listen to any good music. I'm always up to meet for coffee and conversation and would love to find people to watch B-movies with.
