I am happy, intelligent, and kind.

My Self-Summary

I'm having an identity crisis. I recently retook the Myers-Briggs test and got -- ENTJ! Whoa, last time it said I was INFP. Now I'm so confused. Except for the N, those two results are diametrically opposed. Who am I? What am I going to do now? I'm so lost.

Looking for some peace of mind, I tried to take a left brain/right brain test. My result: 50/50: they don't know. Really? Then what did I take the test for? I could have come up with that answer by myself.

Actually, to be honest, I'm not having an identity crisis: I've come to terms long ago with the fact that I don't fit into any of the normal boxes. I came upon the test again while trying to decide what to put in this here summary section. I figured as long as I have to summarize personalities (mine and yours), it wouldn't hurt to look what experts have come up with.

I'd love to be able to put here my result to the "What is your ideal match's personality?" test, so you'd magically know exactly what I'm looking for. But really, when it comes right down to it, it doesn't take much. As long as you're superwoman or somewhere close to that, I'll probably like you.

So, if you think you're fantastic and are genuinely interested in meeting new people, I'd love to hear from you.

What I’m doing with my life

Living it.

I’m really good at

Reinventing myself, even though I’m already happy with who I am. I firmly believe variety is the spice of life. You’ll rarely catch me doing something just because I did it last year, last week, or whatever. That’s not to say I’m not dedicated and can’t commit to a weekly schedule (I can and do) or that I’ll never do the same yearly event twice in a row. It’ll just be because I want to, not because it’s something I always do.

It’s really important to me to find someone who shares this philosophy, so we can grow together rather than growing apart.

The first things people usually notice about me

They say, "Hey, isn't there a statue of you on the church in Trondheim?"

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Der Struwwelpeter, Three Billy Goats Gruff, Encyclopedia Brown, The Indian in the Cupboard, The Giver, 1984, Steinbeck (various), Beyond Good and Evil, The Collected Poems of Wallace Stevens (various), Robert’s Rules of Order, Waiting for Godot, The Nose.

Movies that stood out enough I’ve recommended them to someone: Aladdin, The Matrix (first one), The Prestige, Juno, The Martian Child, An American Crime, Wall-E, and probably a few others I’m forgetting. Then there are movies I saw only once and didn’t like at first but grew on me in time as I thought about it more, like Moulin Rouge. Even though they aren’t recommendation-worthy, I still enjoy many other movies, such as an X-Men or whatever else is out -- as long as it’s not A Scanner Darkly (horrible movie).

Music, in no particular order: Jessica, Sellout, Carry On My Wayward Son, Pictures at an Exhibition, Jupiter, Havendance, Fanfare for the Common Man, Second Suite in F, Silverado (theme), Amish Paradise, Coconut Dancing, Barbie Girl, Why Can’t I, All Star, Skater Boi, Love Story, Sleigh Ride, Megaman (various), Final Fantasy (various), and many more.

Food: avocado, turkey (real turkey breast, not the processed stuff), broccoli, tomatoes, egg noodles, rotini, zucchini, potatoes, pretzels, chocolate donuts, Sloppy Joe, grapes, berries, mushrooms, nuts, brownies.

The six things I could never do without

Besides the basic necessities for human life,

1. Orange Juice - This is such an important part of my diet, I don’t know what I’d do if the world somehow ran out of Orange Juice.

2. Oranges - This is such an important part of Orange Juice, I wouldn’t know how to make Orange Juice without it.

3. Orange Trees - To grow oranges to make Orange Juice.

4. Florida - To grow orange trees on.

5. Sun - The only star close enough to provide enough sunlight to Florida.

6. California - To grow orange trees in case Florida falls into the sea.
