My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
(Hm. This is a work in process. I never am satisfied with my own description.

I'm Tall, Athletic: a sapiosexual (love that word. Points if you know what it means without looking it up); have a brain, tend towards being creative, and (I think I'm) funny (This view is not held by all, admittedly. It's a cross I'm forced to bear).

I'm an extroverted introvert. I can be impulsively thoughtful: or graciously rude. I have strong beliefs but practice tolerance whenever I can. In other words, I'm a study of contrasts.

I'm poly, and upfront about it. I have a partner and we're comfortable dating/having friends outside of our relationship.

I have many talents; but most of them are hidden from the uninterested. It's probably better that way. If they knew everything: they'd likely send a hit-team after me. And hit-teams suck. They have no respect for interior furnishings.

INTERESTS: aikido; biking; dancing; bookstores; walks; obscure movies; sci-fi (Esp. Philip K. Dick; cyberpunk); massage-therapy; drawing; art museums; politics; writing; painting; collaborations; reading aloud; life-drawing; BDSM; BurningMan; dancing (did I mention dancing? Good...I really like dancing); an excellent microbrew; walking; introspection.

NOT INTO: getting wasted, negativity; dishonesty; big sports events; conformity as habit; "sneaking around."

So, what's on your mind? Talk to me. I'm a good listener; and I have something in common with you. We're both searching for a connection...that's a start.

Is there chemistry? Only one way to find out.

(Nope. Still not satisfied with this summary yet, either. Sigh.
Edit, edit, edit)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
At the moment, I'm struggling with writing a few stories. And there's this painting that won't ever seem to get finished.

Aside from that, I'm either teaching; training; or (slowly) working on my backyard (gardening; etc).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-Engaging people, even tho I'm more of an introvert
-My massages are amazing. No, really...
The first things people usually notice about me

My smile, and how tall I am.

And you know what they say about big hands, right? That's right...we make excellent massage therapists. ;)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: "The Value of Nothing," Raj Patel; Sci-fi (Effinger; John Shirley); "A Field Guide to Getting Lost," Rebecca Solnit; "Aikido and the Dynamic Sphere," Westbrook & Ratti; Ursula le Guin; Neil Gaiman; Stephen King, "Ready Player One"

Movies: Thriller; horror/sci-fi; foreign. I like too many movies to list. But in a word: "Wristcutters" was my idea of a romantic film. Points if you've seen it and fell for Gogol Bordello; "Only Lovers Left Alive"
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-the news
-my art studio
-a good book
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why the world is so messed up; and how I can make it just a little better.

The difference between "Let's eat Grandma!" and "Let's eat, Grandma!"
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Training, usually. Then, perhaps a movie, dancing, or a quiet night home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Online? Nothing.
