I am artsy, funny, and fluffy.

My Self-Summary

Good day to you. Let's see....Well. I live on the northside of Chicago where I spend my time exploring the great neighborhoods. I generally do that on my bike as I have no car. OH yes, no car. I'm a CTA girl. That also means I'm a bit snobbish and like to date guys who I can conceivably visit by using the CTA. So...please, keep that in mind.

I'm crafty (in an artsy way, not a conniving way) and have done some theatre here and there as well. My free time is spent either making something, or going out with my friends and drinking or to concerts. I also love going to thrift and antique stores. I love finding ways to reuse old items.

I'm not that crazy about tv. I love music and am trying to find someone who will expose me to new sounds. I really love the sort of indie-alt bluegrassy/folk style. Banjos make me happy.

Animal lovers are also appreciated. I'm a young cat lady you know.

What I’m doing with my life

Enjoying it...

I'm really not into the whole "career goals" idea. I go along with the flow. Who I am today is much different than who I was 10 years ago and I've no doubt I'll be even more different in another 10.

I've also become one of the many Americans who lost their job during this dandy recession. So, I've got some free time.

I’m really good at

Quilting. Ooooh, ain't that whatcha've been looking for?

The first things people usually notice about me

Uhm. Probably my ass, but let's be polite and say my hair. OH, oh, wait, maybe my smile? Hell, I don't know. It's not like anyone ever REALLY tells you what they first notice about you. So, hey, it's the internet, look at my picture, what did you first notice?

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I'm gonna mainly ramble about music here because I think having similar music tastes can really strengthen a relationship. I'm not saying it is a must...but it sure is nice.

As previously mentioned, I'd like to find someone who will expose me to new music as well. I imagine those artists to be similar to some of my current loves. Some of my ongoing loves are- Radiohead, Neko Case, Cat Power, Jenny Lewis/Rilo Kiley, Portishead, Death Cab, Arcade Fire, Iron and Wine, Fleet Foxes, Andrew Bird...to get the ball rolling.

Books: I'm a bit behind. Maybe you can help me catch up.

Movies: See Books.

Food: Clearly I've not skipped out on food. I like most of it except dairy and I had a big falling out a long time ago and we no longer talk.

The six things I could never do without

Family/Friends (i'm editing this to count this as one line, cause really, good friends function like family.)

Trader Joes
Kleenex
Laughing
Animals
My trusty Schwinn

I spend a lot of time thinking about

How comfy knee socks are.

On a typical Friday night I am

Wearing knee socks.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm a real red head.
