I'm a dreamy-headed student of science, a technophile, an occasional (read: delinquent) writer, and an aficionado of the finely crafted witticism. I have lots of dreams and aspirations but all I really know is that I want my life to be interesting so I'll have lots of things to write about when I get old. This means meeting interesting people and doing interesting things. Feel free to help me out with this part.

Currently trying to get my foot in the door of the UX world after spending a lot of time and money in grad school. Also, considering going back for more school. Also, thinking maybe I should just runaway to a tropical island and write stories...

People are always telling me how "nice" I am. Which feels so bland empty sometimes. And I guess that offends my self-image as/aspiration to be a man of complexity. But perhaps I read too much into that. I am indeed a kind person; I am amicable and easy to talk to.

And often one of the last things people notice about me is how good a dancer I am. I mean, it's not like you're going to find me in the middle of a dance circle, but people are always surprised.

Specifics? Well, that would be a long conversation. And really, wouldn't it be more fun to find out these things in person?

I'll say this though, whereas some people seem to chase after a certain sound or genre, I really just look for whatever is interesting or creative musically. And when I find something, I like to explore an artist's influences and peers--to understand that musical family, if you will. I love music for the way it makes you feel, but also the insight it gives you into culture and people.

How to explain things. Literally. If I'm thinking about a difficult concept, I spend a large amount of time trying to imagine how I would phrase it or what analogy I would use.
