On weekends I'm usually out on a hike and taking photos. I'm a big animal geek, when I see something slithering in the grass I'll always attempt to find out what it is and learn as much as I can about it. I enjoy cooking and whenever I get a chance I like having guests over for dinner and a movie or two.

I Work for a small publishing company running the website and database (and general IT in the office when I'm there.)

I've been on Tech Staff at BayCon the past two years and have had a great time. Usually spending way to much time on the party floor once evening rolls around. It would be nice if you enjoy Con's as well, but not absolutely necessary.

Slowly getting into cosplay, so that I can start dressing more appropriately for future Scottish Games, Renaissance Faires, or Steampunk Events.

Working with computers. Working on cars. Keeping things organized. Cooking. Being a friend. Coming up with creative solutions to problems.

No, I'm not related to Randy Travis, and I wasn't Bobby on the Brady Bunch.

Books: I love reading, and will read most anything put in front of me. Some favourite authors include Douglas Adams, Michael Crichton, Dean Koontz & Tom Clancy.

Movies: Star Wars original trilogy, Ghostbusters, Blade Runner, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, the Star Trek movies (all of the usuals (2,6,8) and the new one), the Boondock Saints I & II, the Princess Bride, Zombieland. The list goes on and on.

TV: Simply a list of some shows I enjoy: House, Mythbusters, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Burn Notice, Spooks (MI-5), Caprica, Top Gear, Trauma, Fringe, Eureka, White Collar.

TV (old favourites that I watch when nothing else is on): Fawlty Towers, Red Dwarf, Black Adder, Are You Being Served?, Allo! Allo!, Battlestar Galactica, Father Ted, Hamish Macbeth.

Some groups I might be listening to at any given moment are: Queen, Pet Shop Boys, Orbital, David Bowie, ZZ Top, The Bangles, Nena, Black Flag, Brand X, Cheap Trick, Men At Work, Huey Lewis & the News, Information Society, Joan Jett, Kim Wilde, Nerf Herder, Oingo Boingo, Sex Pistols, Thomas Dolby, U2, Phil Collins. Umm, and Bagpipes.

As for food, I'll eat pretty much anything unless it lives in water (with the exception of Salmon or Southern style Catfish). Current favourite cuisines are (in no particular order): Indian, Thai, Japanese, Greek, Pub Grub, Cajun.

What? No room for places I want to visit? well, I'll just throw that in here too: Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, France, Spain, Antarctica, Mars (Highly doubtful I'll ever get there, but would like to if it were possible.)

Ok, I'm going to bypass the obvious (air, food, family, friends) and go for some unique things that may hint at who I am.

Where I am heading, what to stop and see along the way, who is going to join me for the journey.

Could be cooking dinner for a group of friends, going out to the movies, heading to Reno or Santa Cruz.

Although I enjoy my life, and am relatively comfortable with where I am in it, I am tired of not having someone special to share life's little moments with.

You think we may have a connection and would like to see if we have any chemistry. I would prefer to meet in person sooner rather than later in order to not waste our time if that chemistry doesn't exist. There is no way to judge this through email, so best to get it out of the way early on.

Would like to find a partner who would be at home going to a Black-Tie event or just out on a hike. Someone that would someday like to travel to Europe, Australia, Africa or Egypt. You wouldn't mind just snuggling on the couch watching a movie.

Although my primary interest is of a more romantic type, I am also interested in making some new friends as well. You never know what my become of just starting out as friends.
