So I was playing a game the other night called "spoons" with friends..yeah I know I'm a little old to be playing that, but there is a point to it, so please don't make any judgments until after I'm done. Let's just say that in the process of playing I got a few bruises and cuts here and there, and while some of my friends were aghast when they saw the blood flowing, I just laughed, shrugged it off, and got a band-aid. So what's my point? I'm the kind of person who's not afraid to get a few cuts and bruises in life. Plus, scars are sexy.

That said, I tend to like the rough and tumble. I enjoy camping, hiking, rafting - anything outdoors. I like to play sports, no matter how badly I may play, it's all in the trying that's fun though it is nice to win at something. Still, I'm really a nerd at heart who enjoys life - part of the fun of long hikes and road trips is in being able to let your conversations wander from the realms of science (-fiction I dare say) to politics and religion. I rarely, if ever, feel "bored" with the world. People find I'm easy to get along with and open minded (though I clearly have some set opinions on people needing to be open minded... ;)).

Non-profit do-gooder by day (yeah one of those folks), iron chef contender by night, and aspiring screenwriter any other time.
