My self-summary
Avid reader, ramen-lover, and hot sauce enthusiast (also a proponent of the Oxford comma).

Born and bred in Queens, NY, I've recently moved to the South Jersey/Philly area for work.

Recently started running again, but only for my health. Definitely not for competition, or for distance. I vow never to run any distance where nipple-chafing becomes an issue.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to spend less time indoors.
I’m really good at
Crossword puzzles, cooking, pool, cards, procrastination, trivia, trivial pursuit, scrabble, pictionary...
The first things people usually notice about me
I laugh a lot. I am usually smiling at the very least.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Too many to list them all but a few off the top of my head:

A Confederacy of Dunces
Welcome to the Monkey House
For Whom the Bell Tolls
The Giving Tree

Pretty much everything including country.

Here're some that come to mind (but this is not even close to an exhaustive list): Magnolia Electric Co., Public Enemy, Wu-Tang Clan, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Gillian Welch, Bonnie Prince Billy, Bad Brains, Howlin' Wolf, Lyn Collins, Zero 7, The Pretenders, Black Keys, PJ Harvey, Lykke Li, Etta James, Marva Whitney, Fugazi, Otis Redding, George Clinton and the P-Funk, The Smiths, Lucinda Williams, The Pixies, RJD2, James Brown, Morrissey, Nicole Atkins, Leonard Cohen, Jon Brion, Ant Banks, Nina Simone, Tom Waits, Sugarcubes, Joy Division, Andrew Duhon, Sonic Youth, Miles Davis, Marvin Gaye, Rebirth Brass Band, et al.

Shows: Jeopardy, House, The Wire, NewsRadio, Law & Order, SVU, Homeland, South Park, et al.

Food: I love most food though I'm not a big fan of Thai, not because it tastes bad, but because they use sweet ingredients like peanuts and coconut milk. I'm not a fan of sweet stuff in my main dishes; I like them perfectly fine in my dessert. This is the same reason why I'm not a fan of sweet potatoes unless they're in pie form.
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order:

1. Friends and family
2. Music
"Ohne Musik wäre das Leben ein Irrthum.” (Without music, life would be a mistake) -Nietzsche
3. Good food
4. Art
5. Laughter
6. Literature

Holy shit that sounds incredibly boring and generic.

Here is a list of 6 things without which my life would be much less happy/fun/delicious:

1. Music of all sorts
2. The Internet
3. Dumplings of all sorts
4. Bourbon (actually, whiskey of all sorts)
5. Noodles/pasta of all sorts
6. Crossword Puzzles
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The enormity and wonder of the universe. Like the fact that if we were able to go faster than the speed of light, there is light out there that is billions of years old that we can catch up to. I.e. If we were able to warp someplace 100 light years away and look back at earth, we would be seeing earth as it was 100 years ago.

Also, I think a lot about what I'm gonna eat next.
On a typical Friday night I am
With friends, laughing, eating, drinking, and being merry.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've appeared in a Barbara Streisand video.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 23–37
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, casual sex
You should message me if
you are a troublemaker looking for a partner in crime, or if you need a taste-tester for your cooking/baking/cocktail-making, or if you want to randomly pull an all-nighter doing [insert random activity here] just for the hell of it, or if you feel like going on a people-watching excursion, or if you need a pictionary partner (I am awesome), or if you are looking for a running partner in the Mt. Laurel area.
