I'm anti-misanthropic!

I've been told that my conversational style is very straight-forward; I often say things, as they come to me, without fully considering their social implications.

Luckily, my friends find this more amusing than detrimental. I also often miss sarcasm, and tend to get trolled, unintentionally, a lot as a result.

...is much what you might expect for a twenty-something year old; wandering around and trying to find my place in cleaning up this enormous damn mess.

I'm attempting to get in better shape. I want to preempt the years of poor nutrition and inactivity before they cause serious health problems. I'm also keenly interested in Soylent.

Game development! I remain convinced that video games can be a potent weapon in the arsenal of education.

I'm also not bad at holding views which are unpopular and defending them with more than mere opinion.

Apparently, I put a friend of mine into such a deep state of relaxation with my voice that they simply fell asleep. I might have missed my calling as a hypnotist. (or possibly as a lecturer.)

How much video games have influenced my thinking. A few memorable quotes:

My recreational time is split between reading, watching films, social drinking, conversation, and video games.

My given name is derived from the ancient Hebrew and means "God is my judge." I take this to mean that we should judge our actions by their concrete outcomes, and not necessarily by any abstract ideals of behaviour.

I find social interaction a bit stressful because I have a difficult time reading people, but you'd probably observe that easily if you met me (I will likely ramble and avoid eye contact; making an accurate read even more difficult: go figure). I prefer a direct, open, honest style of communication.
