i grew up in the area around albany, new york. i went to school at warren wilson college in asheville, NC. i moved to new york in 2006. just recently i moved back to new york after spending about a year and a half essentially living in a cabin in a very remote part of central virginia working on an extensive recording project. it was a formative experience. i've lived in a bunch of different places in new york- greenpoint, long island city, bushwick, astoria, flushing (i went to grad school at queens college- aaron copland school of music) and the east village, which is where i currently live now. i think the worst i ever did for myself was moving four times in one year (east village>flushing>LIC>astoria in 2009).
i work as a musician, mostly teaching guitar and piano lessons, but also playing in other people's bands, writing music for things commercially, and as a producer. really, i should be working right now.
