I am funny, goal-oriented, and adventurous.
My Self-Summary
I am a 29-year-old senior at Texas State University-San Marcos,
majoring in
geography/
urban planning. I graduate in
December 2009. I like
comedy,
Simpsons,
South Park,
art,
architecture, and
home design. I am an
adventurous person who likes trying new things, and getting out
there. I am very forward-thinking, and avoid using the past to
judge what new people will be like.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now, I am taking summer classes over the summer, and wrapping
up my studies in the fall, and will begin looking for full-time
work in August 2009. Aside from that, I am keeping healthy, and
just relaxing and enjoying life.
I am planning to buy either a Buick Enclave or Subaru Tribeca (Yes,
I still have faith in SUVs), and if I make enough money, live in a
downtown loft.
I love the career path that I have chosen, and wouldn't trade it
for anything else in the world. My political views straddle between
conservative and libertarian, but enjoy the company of liberals as
well.
I’m really good at
Old-school video games (NES, SNES, Genesis), my studies, having
willpower, planning vacations, designing homes. I bought a Wii
recently.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am a very funny, good-looking, studious, knowledge-seeking guy,
who is very open-minded and free-spirited.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Canterbury Tales (gotta love the Miller's Tale!), self-help
books, magazines relevant to my career.
Movies: Airplane!, the Naked Gun movies, Animal House, Caddyshack,
Superbad, Funny People, L.A. Story, Harold and Kumar Go to White
Castle, Super Troopers, Beerfest, and various other comedy and
indie films.
TV Shows: The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, American Dad, King
of the Hill, Scrubs, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Robot Chicken,
Squidbillies, Drawn Together, Futurama, Chappelle's Show, Mind of
Mencia, Important Things with Demitri Martin, Daily Show, Colbert
Report, Lil' Bush, 12-oz. Mouse, Stroker and Hoop, Chowder,
Misadventures of Flapjack, Seth McFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon
Comedy.
Music: No real preference, but I do like retro and indie. Not a
real fan of country, though.
Food: Anything and everything, but American, Mexican, Italian,
Chinese, and Mediterranean are the best.
Actors: Leslie Nielsen, Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Rodney
Dangerfield, Mel Brooks, Harvey Korman, Seth Rogen, Adam Sandler,
John Belushi, the actors from Broken Lizard, Chevy Chase, Bill
Murray, Rodney Dangerfield, John Vernon, Drew Carey, Craig
Ferguson.
Stand-up Comedians: Demitri Martin, Chelsea Handler, Larry the
Cable Guy, Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Ron White, Greg Giraldo,
Lisa Lampanelli, Jim Gaffigan, Loni Love, Katt Williams.
The six things I could never do without
Food, family, Internet, nice weather, open-mindedness, and my car.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future, finding new ways to do things, traveling to new places,
finding that special someone, geography, various landscapes,
designing my dream home, thinking about buying my dream car.
On a typical Friday night I am
Treating myself to a nice night out to eat, watching either Adult
Swim or Comedy Central, just enjoying life in general.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
It takes me a while to open up, but when I do, I go all out.
You should message me if
You are funny, open-minded, like animated sitcoms, like independent
and foreign films, goal-oriented, artsy, creative, like outdoor
activities, and enjoy trying new things.
Also, I have temporarily put the relationship search on hold,
because graduation is less than one month away, and the employment
search is under way. So until I find out where I am going to be and
where I will be working, I am just looking for friends for now.
