My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm currently trying to devise one of those stick and box traps with a pumpkin spice latte underneath it because I hear that's what attracts women this time of year. ;)

All kidding aside, I've read that girls consider all online guys creeps until proven otherwise. So here's what you really want to know about me...

I'm fun, genuine, happy, independent, and nicer than most people. Also, I promise you that I have a great career, excellent health, nice teeth, a good head of hair, and look like my pictures. I've never been arrested, don't have any STDs, and I'm not a player, cheater, d-bag, or stage-5 clinger!

ENFJ, if you're into the personality stuff. Apparently this is rare (like 2-3 % of the population).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Keeping active, which includes: spontaneous adventures, playing/watching sports, running, working out, going to concerts, traveling, finding new challenges, and continually learning.

If you're into sports, I'm a Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, and Illini fan. I'm always up for a friendly rivalry though! I also play on a few softball and volleyball rec teams for fun.

I'm close with my family; they raised me with values, so I always try to do the right thing and be a gentleman. I care about things like the environment, animals, and helping others.

At the same time, I'm really just a chill guy so I can get pretty ridiculous and have fun in nearly any situation. I'm often sarcastic and playful when I really click with someone, so hopefully you can take it and dish it out!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being a cool uncle, fixing computers and electronic gadgets, kissing, and taking time to enjoy the simple things in life.

I'm not so good at:
Taking my clothes out of the dryer when they're done and getting out of bed the 1st time my alarm goes off (I love you, snooze button)!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a dashing, athletic guy, with a unique shade of dark auburn hair, and I look younger than my age.

Movies: Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Super Troopers, Wedding Crashers, Dumb & Dumber, Star Wars, Eternal Sunshine, Life of Pi, Back to the Future, and anything Marvel.

Shows: The League, New Girl, Big Bang Theory, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Arrested Development, Silicon Valley, Family Guy, Seinfeld.

Music: Love most 90's music, alternative, rock, and some pop. All-time faves include Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Pearl Jam, No Doubt, 311, Weezer, Incubus, and Chevelle. Recently: Kacey Musgraves.

Food: Italian and Mexican cuisines. I could eat pizza, pasta, or Chipotle almost every day if I didn't try to eat somewhat healthy.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Chipotle, Cheese, Chips & guac, Chicken, Chocolate, Cherries, Chapstick, Challenges, Chewbacca, and (of course) Chicago.

Wow, who knew so many wonderful things begin with those 2 letters? After the first few, I just had to keep going with it! There are even more like chili and Chinese food. I really wanted to add an "h" into craft beer so it could make the list too.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Besides girls, my next meal, and fun social/weekend plans?
• Dating and social dynamics
• The wonders of makeup
• Science and the mysteries of the universe
• Where I can volunteer to play with animals, since I'm not home enough to have a dog right now
• How soon I can visit family and warmer weather in Austin and Playa Del Carmen
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I've been on and off this site for a few years now. I've had a few successful relationships, including a pretty amazing one with a girl I met on here early this year. However, since returning to this site about 6 months ago, I've seen about 180 days go by and I've sent over 200 messages. I haven't had a single date, so I'm kind of demoralized right now. It sucks when you're taking time to write a thoughtful message and you realize it's very likely not going to get a reply. And yet you do it over and over and over again... hoping for a reply, or at least a profile view so it seems like they at least considered you for a minute.

I'd like to think I'm fairly attractive and have an interesting profile. I send out short, thoughtful messages with a couple questions to generate conversation. So I just don't get it... I used to go on dates much more frequently. Did I turn into an ugly monster? Or did someone put a curse on me?

Anyway, I realize this doesn't boost my profile, so it's only here temporarily. I'm taking a break from contacting anyone new since I just don't have the time or energy right now. I guess I'm looking for any constructive suggestions or advice right now.

And on a more positive note, I've honestly never had a bad 1st date. I guess I'm either really lucky or I excel at them. Granted, I'm not saying there's always been a connection, but I've always been able to have a good time and interesting conversations.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You think I'm cute, fun, and like my profile. It's that simple.

Honestly though, everyone's time is valuable so thanks for reading and considering me. I think we can all agree that it takes some effort, timing, and luck in this crazy world of online dating. But hey, nothing of any real value comes easy in life, right? Somehow it's all worth it when you find the right person.

Good luck to everyone!
