8/10/15 - I just got back from a most excellent adventure that took me through Vegas for the first time, followed by FL, GA, and NC for a friend's wedding. Ask me about it!

I'm convinced people spend way too much time doing the "online" part of online dating, and not enough of the "dating" part. Let's change that!

Anyway, now that it's summer in Chicago, I'm excited for all the possibilities around the city. Want to go to a Cubs game? Check out a street festival? Go on a spontaneous road trip? Laugh your ass off at a live comedy show? Spend an afternoon at Arlington Park? Expand our minds at a museum? Hit the beach? Go for a run? Or check out any upcoming concerts (especially Foo Fighters, Billy Joel, No Doubt)? If so, let's start a conversation and see where it goes.

I'm a very active guy though, so I don't have much time to spend on here. If you're up for a fun date, let's exchange a few messages and then get to the point and make plans to meet up. We can optionally talk on the phone first to establish that neither of us is crazy. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Born and raised on the NW side of Chicago, I lived in Wicker Park after college, and later moved to Des Plaines to be closer to work, family, and friends. I love the near-northwest suburbs, but I might return to the city with a new job soon.

I like to keep active, so I crave new adventures, challenges, traveling, constantly learning, and trying new things.

I also enjoy running and working out. If you're into sports, I'm a Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, and Illini fan. (Always up for a friendly rivalry though!) I play on softball and volleyball teams for fun too.

Family is important to me. My parents and siblings raised me with values, so I always try to do the right thing and be a gentleman. I care about things like the environment, animals, and helping others.

At the same time, I'm really just a chill guy so I can get pretty ridiculous and have fun in nearly any situation. I'm often sarcastic and playful when I really click with someone, so hopefully you can take it and dish it out!

In summary, I'd like to consider myself fun, classy, adventurous, and genuinely nicer than most people. I'm just a hopeful romantic and a good guy who hasn't met the right girl yet.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
• Athletic activities and most sports
• Being a cool uncle to my nieces and nephews
• Working with computers and electronic gadgets
• Paying attention to details (your new outfit, haircut, etc)
• Taking time to enjoy the simple things in life

I'm a dashing, athletic guy, with a unique shade of dark auburn hair, and I look younger than my age.

Shows: The League, New Girl, The Office, HIMYM, Silicon Valley, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Arrested Development, Seinfeld.

Food: Not picky at all. Love Italian and Mexican cuisines. I could eat pizza, pasta, or Chipotle almost every day if I didn't try to eat somewhat healthy.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Chicago, challenges, chocolate, cheese, Chipotle, chips & guac.

Wow, who knew so many wonderful things begin with those 2 letters? After the first few, I just had to keep going with it. Too bad craft beer doesn't have an H in there.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Besides girls, my next meal, and fun social/weekend plans?
• How to become kinder, wiser, and more productive
• Science and the mysteries of the universe
• What races and events I should sign up for this summer
• How soon I can visit family and friends in FL, TX, and Australia
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

One of my favorite things is when a cute girl admits to being a little nerdy/dorky in her profile. It usually shows me they're smart and down to earth. I also have a thing for girls who like dressing up occasionally, brunettes, redheads, runners, teachers, nurses, belly piercings, great legs, freckles, and girls who look cute in a Cubs t-shirt.

ENFJ personality (rare for males), if you're into that type of thing.

Also... I have a little, adorable pet hedgehog that you'd fall in love with and try to steal. Haha, you were definitely intrigued there, but I'm just messing with you!

But really... I may want to get a dog one day and name him Bark Vader.

You're cute, fun, and like my profile. And you aren't one of the flaky girls on here that gets easily distracted. Hey, look at that shiny object over there!

Oh, and one last thing... Sadly, there's too many lazy people, fake profiles, and spam messages on here. If you message me first, please begin it with some asterisks (****) so it stands out and I know you read my profile.

Good luck to everyone!
