My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Tired of lazy, misspelled emails from guys who don't read your profile? How about the one-liners, unoriginal copy/pasted messages, sex propositions, and old creepy men hitting on you?

Let's face it... it definitely takes some effort, timing, and luck in this crazy world of online dating. But hey, nothing of any real value comes easy in life, right? Somehow it's all worth it when you find the right person.

Anyway, I'm confident there's still some amazing single guys (and girls) on this site. If you continue to read my profile, hopefully you'll consider me one. :)

**** So here's what you really want to know: ****
I'm a normal, fun, great guy and genuinely nicer than most people. I'm fortunate to have a great career, my own place, no debt, excellent health, a good head of hair, and nice teeth. I promise that I look like my pictures, I don't discriminate against other views, I've never been arrested, I don't have any STDs, and I'm not a player, cheater, d-bag, or stage-5 clinger!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Born and raised on the NW side of Chicago, I lived in Wicker Park after college and later moved to Des Plaines to be closer to work, family, and friends. I love the near-northwest suburbs, but I'm contemplating moving back to the city this spring or summer.

I like to keep active, which consists of new adventures, challenges, and constantly learning new things. Some of my interests are concerts, festivals, live comedy shows, playing/watching sports, working out, and running.

If you're into sports, I'm a Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, and Illini fan. I'm always up for a friendly rivalry though! I also play on a few softball and volleyball teams for fun.

Family is important to me. My parents and siblings raised me with values, so I always try to do the right thing and be a gentleman. I care about things like the environment, animals, and helping others.

At the same time, I'm really just a chill guy so I can get pretty ridiculous and have fun in nearly any situation. I'm often sarcastic and playful when I really click with someone, so hopefully you can take it and dish it out!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
• Being a cool uncle to my nieces and nephews
• Working with computers and electronic gadgets
• Sports and fantasy football (for those of you who play)
• Paying attention to details (your new outfit, haircut, etc)
• Taking time to enjoy the simple things in life
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a dashing, athletic guy, with a unique shade of dark auburn hair, and I look younger than my age.

Movies: Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Super Troopers, Wedding Crashers, Dumb & Dumber, Star Wars, The Matrix, Eternal Sunshine, Life of Pi, Back to the Future.

Shows: The League, New Girl, Big Bang Theory, The Office, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Arrested Development, Family Guy, Seinfeld.

Music: mostly alternative, rock, and some pop, but I like many genres. All-time faves include Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Pearl Jam, No Doubt, 311, Weezer, Incubus, and Chevelle. Recently: Kacey Musgraves.

Food: Italian and Mexican cuisines. I could eat pizza, pasta, or Chipotle almost every day if I didn't try to eat somewhat healthy.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Chicago, challenges, chocolate, cheese, Chipotle, chips & guac.

Wow, who knew so many wonderful things begin with those 2 letters? After the first few, I just had to keep going with it. I really wanted to add an "h" into craft beer so it could make the list too. And yes, there are even more good ones: chapstick, cherries, Chinese food, Chewbacca, etc.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Besides girls, my next meal, and fun social/weekend plans?
• How to become kinder, wiser, and more productive
• Science and the mysteries of the universe
• What races and events I should sign up for this spring/summer
• How soon I can visit family and friends in FL, TX, and Australia
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

One of my favorite things is when a cute girl admits to being a little nerdy in her profile. It shows me they're down to earth, non-judgmental, and comfortable with who they are. Other random things I appreciate: girls in Cubs t-shirts, runners, teachers, nurses, great legs, belly piercings, and girls who enjoy getting dressed up on occasion.

Also, I swear that I've never had a bad 1st date. I'm not saying there's always been a connection, but both of us have always had a good time and interesting conversations. I've even been fortunate to have a couple great relationships through this site before, although the past few months have been uneventful.

And... I may want to get a dog one day and name him Bark Vader.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
• You share a mutual appreciation for intelligence, fitness/sports, concerts, festivals, comedy shows, learning, traveling, and trying new things.
• Or you'd like to see Billy Joel or the Foo Fighters at Wrigley Field in August.
• Or quite simply if you're cute, fun, and like my profile.

Oh, and one last thing... Sadly, there's too many lazy people, fake profiles, and spam messages on here. If you message me first, please begin it with some asterisks like this (****) so it stands out and I know you read my profile. This filtering technique has been amazing, so you should try your own!

Good luck to everyone. :)
