My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
What I'm looking for: Sincere, stable, open-minded, educated, non-judgemental guys who are nice to their friends & family and interested in dates/potential relationship. MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE.

Think the male version of Liz Lemon. But, in the spirit of things - I'm smart, self-aware, have a great personality, gregarious, witty, independent, communicator, charming, thoughtful, and caring -- Just a few words to describe who I am.

I've been back in Chicago for a year, after a 10 year absence. Most recently, I lived in New York for over 4 years, after a jaunt on the left coast in LA for 6 years. Prior to that, I was in Alaska for 5 months, by way of Chicago - which is where I was raised. I'm (finally) ready to pursue dating again - after settling into my new life here and overcoming some life hurdles.

I like to think of myself as a down-to-earth guy who is looking for someone exciting and interesting to date and possibly to share life with.

One vice: I bite my nails (working on fixing this).

One weakness: dogs.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've spent the majority of my adult life (post college) working in film & television development. Began my Master's Degree this fall to study Clinical Psychology.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
making lists, communication, making fun of myself, puns, time management and opinions.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
my eyes, I'd say. (how narcissistic?)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

too many to list here.

books/reading material: God Is Not Great, The Last Lecture, Great Expectations, Where The Sidewalk Ends, New York Magazine, and anything my book club has mandated me to read for the month.

movies: Airplane, Raiders of the Lost Ark, A Single Man (3 completely different genres, I know).

food: If I had a choice, I'd be mexican because I could eat it all day long.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
alone time
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
the weekend and how I'll spend my time or where to vacation next....
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
out to dinner and/or drinks with friends ... or staying in to enjoy some R&R after a (usual) long week. Makes no big difference to me...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
inquire book.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
- you are equally passionate about many of the things that I think make Chicago one of the greatest cities in the world-- theater, dining out, and finding new/interesting areas, a run along the Lake...amongst other things.

- you're someone who is smart, driven, engaging -- nothing excites more than meeting someone who is passionate about what they do and energized to wake up and go to work every day -- but who also has interests beyond work and can and will make the time to appreciate the many other things life has to offer.

But most of all, I'm seeking sombody to enjoy life with, whether that be over dinner and conversation, a night out on the town, or a lazy Sunday afternoon pouring over the paper.

You shouldn't message me if your screenname has the words "boy" or "boi" in it...

Sound good?
