My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am an outgoing, social, open, yet introspective guy, looking for someone to hang out with, have a beer with, cook dinner with, philosophize with, see a movie with.

I love happiness and how infectious it can be. There are few things with more importance out there.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am walking that path and experiencing life along the way. Keeping close with my family and friends. Enjoying my career. Saying yes to new things. Looking forward to the future.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I dream big and I am an optimist at heart, mixed with a good dose of practicality. I love philosophizing with friends over a beer. Seeing where we’re at… where we’re going... discussing ideas and our next set of plans.

Oh, and I am a good cook, beer brewer and party host. I often bring friends together to share good times. And I love working on my house to make it more inviting.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People first notice my positive disposition, goofy demeanor and friendly nature. My first questions are never about sports or the weather. I tend to go deeper into conversation, asking: How are you? What’s happening in your life right now? How do you feel about that? What do you want to do next?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love to research my passions for cooking and brewing, and have an ever-growing collection of recipe and brewing books.

Movies are a passion… in all their varieties, from mainstream to independent. I don’t watch regular television but will gladly stream a good TV series. I enjoy the usual suspects: Six Feet Under, Breaking Bad, Dexter. I have only started Mad Men and Game of Thrones, and I am waiting for that rainy weekend when the time is just right to binge watch them.

My music is also widely varied. I can go from techno to jazz with many favorites in between. Beastie Boys, Beck, Bjork, Cibo Matto, David Bowie, David Byrne, Imogen Heap, Neko Case, Nick Jaina, Pink Floyd, Police, Portishead, Radiohead, Rolling Stones, St. Vincent, Yeah yeah yeahs, Zero Seven. But I could listen to Radiohead on repeat all day. And my car radio is perpetually tuned to NPR.

For food I go for any interesting new recipes, then Google search variations to mix-and-match what I like. My favorites include: Mexican, Italian, BBQ, Indian, Ethiopian, vegetarian. When I go out for dinner I order interesting entrees to get inspired.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

Friends
Social gatherings
Good conversation
Good food
Good fun
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think a lot about my next goals and going through my lists to track them. These range from making sure I have all the ingredients for my next recipe, to making sure I am focused on my next house task, to planning my next trip with friends, to eating healthier and exercising more.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
On Friday's I may be hanging at my house or out on the town with friends. At home I am often cooking for myself to detox from the week's stresses. And perhaps settling down for a movie or finally getting to binge watch Mad Men.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a small collection of songs out on soundcloud.com that I have been recording in my garage. And I am working on a collection of songs to make my first moody introspective concept album.
