My self-summary
IMPORTANT DETAIL #1: I am (very happily, I might add) in a relationship and not the type to do the whole "open" thing, so them's the breaks. Legitimate not skeevy friendship is always welcome, but the buck stops there.

IMPORTANT DETAIL #2: The kids? Not mine. Cute though, aren't they? I'm striving for the world's best aunt award, because having my own is far too frightening a prospect.

I'm not big on talking about myself. I tend to follow the precept that talking about individuals is pretty base, discussing events is mundane, and discussing ideas is ideal. Or I'd like to, but I'm human, so events and other people matter sometimes. Pretty much anything anyone types here is going to sound pretty pretentious and/or dead lame so I'm just going to abstain.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm an entertainment/video game attorney with my own practice, so there's that. I should warn you that I am pretty much overworked 95% of the time. And I travel a lot, which is the only reason I'm on here.

My practice is based out of Seattle despite my current location. I'm also teaching myself Japanese for the hell of it.

When I'm not working or when I simply can't work anymore I pumpkin the hell out and go on adventures. I'm also turning into a fitness junky, which will probably make both us happy (although it's not like I'm in bad shape now).
I’m really good at

Anything I put my mind to and enjoy doing (is that conceited? Yeah. Is it true? Does the Pope poop in the woods?). Mixing metaphors. RPGs (I thank the imaginary friend up in the sky every day for SNES emulators). Being an 85% completionist.

My work. I am a complete and unrivaled bad ass with a red pen when it comes to contract review. Exciting, right? Don't lie. You totally dig it.

I can pick a fight with the best of em, but I'm better at narrowly extracting myself from highly dangerous/compromising situations by the sheer force of my wit.

I'm the patron saint of crying women. I seem to always be that girl in the bathroom who is uncomfortably situated near some crying barely-post-adolescent chick in the middle of some crisis. I don't know what it is, but somehow they come crawling into my lap (both metaphorically and literally, so yeah, awkward much?) and I've spent the past 15 years taking care of god knows how many 20 something women who now think of me as their big sister/mom. Being apathetic clearly is not one of my flaws.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm tiny. Or at least that's the first thing that seems to pop out of people's mouths, which is pretty fucking tactless now that I think about it.

Otherwise, I have no idea.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I read. A lot. Prolific amounts. Not worth listing, because 75% is work related and the rest is straight up brain candy.

Movies: Action and horror, mostly. I'm not gonna lie, the whole Marvel/DC trend for blockbusters is right the hell up my alley.

TV: The news? I don't watch TV unless it's CNN or BBC News, but I have Netflix, HBO Go, Hulu and Crunchyroll. Showtime series like Dexter and Weeds, HBO series like True Blood and Game of Thrones, and anime. Yes, I watch anime on both Hulu and Crunchyroll. Hulu for One Piece (don't judge me, that show is freaking awesome), and Crunchyroll for everything else (currently Magi and Naruto, because I like the manga). Yeah. I'm a COMPLETE nerd. That being said, I have like... 2 hours a week for this kind of stuff. So back to the news...

Music: Pretty standard stuff. Imagine Dragons (ok 95% is because the band's name just rocks), Muse, Damian Rice, Lacuna Coil, Aesop Rock, Tom Petty, Girl Talk, Black Keys, Debussy, NiN, Sevendust, STP, Iron & Wine, Snow Patrol, Tori Amos, Portishead, the Mars Volta, Wolfmother, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd. I've been on a classical music kick for a while, though. And I listen to a LOT of NPR.

Food: Spicy (and I mean tears of blood spicy), ethnic, anything as yet untasted.
The six things I could never do without
appropriate use of profanity
my myriad of technical gadgets
Conflicting opinions (they keep my mind sharp!)
On a typical Friday night I am
Honestly? Probably at the gym. Or at a bar. Or listening to NPR podcasts. Or playing some random JRPG like Final Fantasy if work is slow (because let's face it, that's a waste of a solid 14 hours).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't remember anything about my first kiss. Not the person, place, time... zilch. Kind of makes me an insensitive bitch, but them's the breaks. The thought of running into the person in question confounds me because, I mean, what do you say in that situation?
