My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm mellow, and spend more than half my time on a bicycle. Can't live without my dogs, or sunshine and good weather. I would probably also die if beer vanished from this earth.

A good friend once thanked me for always being 'unapologetically myself'....I can do candor, can you?

I categorize most easily as a misanthrope cloaked in stoned content. I don't mind people, just the imbecile things they do and say sometimes (alot of the time). With that being said, I also love peoplewatching despite my cultivated aversion. The World is my Mystery Science Theater....oyster. <---get to know me way too well
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Making a living out of life, and a life out of living. Fleeing the redundancy of my youth. soul-searching. For my own, and the souls of others. I'm almost positive that I sneezed it out long ago. Soul la vie. A la Milhouse.

And apparently inappropriately using French if said usage involves a pun, or a Simpsons reference. I'm a sucker for both.

Reading street signs, and Reddit, and body language and imperceptible and glaring life coincidence. Reading anything, really. I wouldn't be where i am today without books or divergent mental stimulus. Collecting feathers and rocks and sights and sounds and wandering. Finding people to care about and share with. The fine print of an afternoon and the large type of the stars at night. Falling into the rabbit hole like Carl Sagan in a blonde wig. Digressing is the short version of what I'm doing with my days.

Also riding my bike way too much, to way too many places, and also somehow not enough. Destination infinity.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
adventures, back talk, petting dogs, smoking weed, blowing bubbles, peeling oranges and boiled eggs, anything artistic, Duck Hunt, frisbee, calvinball, the vulcan nerve pinch, breaking up dog fights, drunkenly eating cereal, telling it like it is, riding my bike with no handlebars, air drumming,
and laughing like I might never stop.

The only compliments I receive publicly are in reference to my tattoos. I also have this one hat I wear often that everybody loves. Everybody in the whole world.

characteristically, folks seem to say a lot of shit about my eyes (Is getting compared to 'Bjork' often a compliment?)

Once, a gay man told me I was the perfect woman. I Still don't know how to take that, to this day. I should have interrogated him.

I'm currently reading a gaggle of Tom Robbins books, and A Song of Fire and Ice. I'm pretty set with these two...and I think they're fairly indicative of my personality. I love a well spread sentence with easily summoned words and a thick cling of satire, and I could also lose myself forever in tales of heroism and fantastical strife and perseverance. Plus, DRAGONS. And Wargs. I think I would say I like stories that scare me, or resonate with my particular blend of melancholy and thoughtful humor, though I usually stick to comics.....comics about the X-men, Bears, Pirates, Pilgrims (Scott Pilgrims) Thor, anything by Neil Gaiman or Warren Ellis or Garth Ennis. Blankets, Black Hole, Beg the Question, Fables, The Walking Dead, we3, Preacher, Transmetropolitan, Sandman, and Y:the last man, to name a few specifically.

I can't get enough of Game of Thrones. All of the spoilers are like literal sloppy seconds. You could also see my face brighten at the mere mention or quotation from Arrested Development, The whitest Kids You know, Freak and Geeks, Undeclared, Stella, 30 Rock, Parks & Rec, The Office, Trailer Park boys, Fringe, Breaking Bad, the united States of Tara, The Sopranos, community, the wonder years, my so-called life, Adventuretime, The misadventures of Flapjack, The State, The Venture Brothers, Bob's burgers, Titus, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Reno 911, Dexter, Mad Men, The Walking Dead or Community. good tv is good. I'm also an avid watcher of nature specials. Even the dumbed down ones they play for kids on Saturday mornings.

I live up to my name (which is Melody, congratulations if you've read this deep into my self-script) and don't go a day without some type of musical immersion. My favorite acts are : Animal Collective, Blitzen Trapper, Fleet Foxes, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, The Knife, Fever Ray, The Arcade Fire, FKA Twigs, Portishead, Aphex Twin, Delorean, Here we go magic, Father John Misty, Scout Niblett, the xx, Fleetwood Mac, The Avett Brothers, Earl Scruggs, Massive Attack, Bowerbirds, White Dress, The Black Keys, Ween, Devendra Banhart, Phil Ochs, Radiohead, Yeasayer, Beach House, Baths, Broken Social Scene, Panda Bear, The Band, Iron and Wine, Beirut, Grizzly Bear, The Antlers, Jenny Lewis, Golden Smog, Why?, Atmosphere, CULTS, Chromatics, Blur, The Tallest Man on Earth, Of Montreal, Dan Deacon, Old Crow Medicine Show, Baths, Islands, Sigur Ros, Mumford & Sons and The Head and the Heart. amongst MANY.

I love donuts. You can ask my tattoo. But fair warning -- my adjacent tattoo might tell you to bite it's shiny, metal ass :D
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Dogs - I'm so beyond 'dog person', it's insane. I own two, but
hundreds of dogs own my heart.

My human friends - know me best, and love me dearly, fault lines
and all. This is a two-way street.

Coffee - knows me best, loves me dearly, two-way street is my OTHER best friend. The one that lifts
me up where I belong

Sunshine - I'm pretty certain I suffer from seasonal affective
disorder. If it's cloudy or gray two days in a row, my reaction is
very....Jack Torrance-y

Creative Expression - My parents are musicians, but I was born an
artist. I delve very deeply into photography and traditional
art-making. I'm a criminal doodler, especially when at work or on
bar tables.

My bike - is named Race Pudding and is probably the best boyfriend
a single gal could ask for. Takes me everywhere and goes the

"The trouble with you is that the only way you can communicate is through art. You’ve never learned to communicate your feelings to a man. You don’t even want to communicate in a relationship. You think that if you open up to love, you’ll lose your independence or your self-expression or creativity or whatever you call all that passionate, wonderful stuff that makes you feel alive inside"
