I've also gotten to travel to some really awesome (and not so awesome places for work). Over the last year I've spent over 70 days in Boise, ID (I was amazed at how much I enjoyed Boise, it's really an awesome place), 11 days in DC (who doesn't love going to DC on the Accela?) and several weeks in Rochester, NY (this was a not so awesome place). I've met all the requirements for the CPA designation and am currently waiting for the State to complete processing my application.
In college, I threw the shot put. For those of you who do not know (I'm usually asked what shot put is), it is one of the field events in track and field. I continued throwing after college for two years. I gave it up due to chronic pain I was developing on my throwing side. I was able to stay connected by coaching through graduate school and still follow some of my training mates and competitors as they continue their careers.
Since athletics was such an important part of my college experience, I never really got into the bar/clubbing scene. The two don't really blend well. When I stopped throwing, I never really got into the bar/club scene but I do go on occasion with friends and drink responsibly.
Family and traditional values are very important to me. I'm a Catholic and a Conservative. I keep up-to-date with current events and am very knowledgeable on the issues. I'm always open for debate.
I'm at the point in my life where I would like to settle down with the right woman and develop a long and meaningful relationship. Ideally she would be somebody of faith with similar values and interests (i.e., sports, art, picnics, ice skating, etc).
