I thought I'd keep a note of what I actually do on Friday nights:

• 07/01 - packing for snowboarding holiday, early night due to early flight next day.
• 14/01 - last day of snowboarding holiday, packing, quick beer in the bar and listening to comedy on iPlayer.
• 21/01 - stayed in, played on my PS3, some unpacking and sorting out a few post-holiday things.
• 28/01 - early night, off to my parents Saturday morning to collect the cat.
• 04/02 - watched Terminator Salvation on DVD, bought some stuff on Amazon.
• 11/02 - played on my PS3, watched TV.
• 18/02 - took my PS3 apart and fixed it (dreaded Yellow Light Of Death).
• 25/02 - early night due to doing The South Downs Way Challenge next day.
• 04/03 - watched The Sopranos, finished season 1 now.
• 11/03 - early night, off to my parents Saturday morning to see them, my brothers, my sister in law and my niece.
• 18/03 - unblocked my drain, full of what looked like solid lumps of Persil. Started watching the 2nd season of The Sopranos.
• 25/03 - filled in my census questionnaire, renewed my driving license, shaved my legs. 

• 01/04/11 - watched some Stewart Lee videos on YouTube. Watched The Sopranos (last episode of season 2). Early night in preparation for Saturday morning Parkrun.
• 08/04/11 - watched The Big Bang Theory, played Little Big Planet, tried to fix my SD card reader. 
• 15/04/11 - played Call Of Duty, signed up to go Speed Dating. Early night in preparation for Saturday morning Parkrun.
• 23/04/11 - sorted my bike out, watched Robocop 2.
• 30/04/11 - went clubbing (Pandemonium in Portsmouth).
• 06/05/11 - watched TRON: Legacy, got depressed about election results.
• 13/05/11 - watched Question Time and HIGNFY, early night in preparation for Saturday morning Parkrun.
• 20/05/11 - watched The Big Bang Theory, played a bit of GT5.
• 27/05/11 - flew to Prague for the weekend with my brother and my parents for speedway and sight-seeing.
• 03/06/11 - fiddled around with the fuses in my car, early night in preparation for 10 mile run on Saturday morning.
• 10/06/11 - took part in The World Naked Bike Ride (Southampton)
• 17/06/11 - felt a bit under the weather so I spent most of the evening in bed
• 24/06/11 - played Portal 2 for a bit. Early night in preparation for going to Cardiff on Saturday morning.
• 01/07/11 - fitted a new hard drive (SSD) in my PC. Early night in preparation for Saturday morning Parkrun.
• 08/07/11 - my parents came over, Chinese takeaway and The Apprentice.
• 15/07/11 - watched Torchwood, started making tissue box holders.
• 22/07/11 - watched Mongrels, finished off my tissue box holders - a Rubik's Cube and a Companion Cube.
• 29/07/11 - I've been a bit slack about filling this in, and now I can't remember what I did. I assure you it was very, very exciting.
• 05/08/11 - recovering from running, playing Need For Speed.
• 12/08/11 - watched True Blood and Breaking Bad
• 19/08/11 - watched Scott Pilgrim vs The World
• 26/08/11 - Reading Festival (Henry Rollins, Deftones, 30s to Mars, My Chemical Romance)
• 02/09/11 - went on a date
• 09/09/11 - took my RC car out, watched Torchwood
• 16/09/11 - bike maintenance, watched Star Wars on BluRay.
• 23/09/11 - watched The Sopranos, emptied the cat's litter tray.
• 30/09/11 - failed to get a place in the London Marathon, watched Pineapple Express
• 07/10/11 - played Driver: San Francisco, watched The Big Bang Theory
• 14/10/11 - security tagged my bike, played Driver: San Francisco
• 21/10/11 - saw Sweeney Todd at Chichester Theatre, drank wine and played Guitar Hero.
• 28/10/11 - my parents came over for the weekend to watch me do The Great South Run
• 04/11/11 - went to my parents for the weekend for my Dad's 65th Birthday
• 11/11/11 - watched Only Connect, played Driver: San Francisco
• 18/11/11 - watched Beavis and Butthead, cleaned the bath
• 25/11/11 - walked around the house in my new snowboard boots, played Burnout Paradise
• 02/12/11 - watched Jarhead
• 09/12/11 - played LA Noire, watched The Big Bang Theory
• 16/12/11 - flew to Austria to go snowboarding
• 23/12/11 - flew back from Austria
• 30/12/11 - watched Kick Ass, played Burnout Paradise, early-ish night for Eastleigh Parkrun
