cooking-but fair warning if you come eat at my apartment i'm notorious about doing these elaborate meals that always take longer than i think they're going to and then everyone's eating at 10 pm-which i do sort of intentionally because i really like cocktail hour (or 3) because it means that there's a lot to look forward to in the night-in other words, i like delayed gratification

THE LIVES OF OTHERS is my favorite movie. it's german, about a playwright/actress couple being spied on by the stasi in east berlin in the 80s. if you haven't seen it, please do. it'll blow your mind.

my grandpa's enormous silver martini shaker-i don't actually use it because it's a family heirloom, but it sits on my shelf and makes me think of how much fun my grandpa must have had going around refilling people's martini glasses during house parties in the 50s
