I'm a single guy with a lot to learn.

I currently attend Eastern Michigan University as a graduate student. My field of study is Applied Theatre, Drama for the Young.

I like to go out dancing or singing karaoke but mostly I just like spending time with people I love and care about.

Recently, I spent two years teaching in an underserved community on the Texas/Mexico border with Teach For America.

I am honest...almost to a fault. So, if you don't want the answer to something, don't ask me the question.

What do I want? It's not that complicated, really. I'm just looking for an enlightened grown-up who knows the difference between child-like and childish. Someone who is ready for a solid relationship along with have a good time. Integrity and kindness are a must.

Working hard at grad school. Writing, performing and playing.

Understanding problems and finding solutions. I work well under pressure so I don't stress out during crisis situations. My friends describe me as a rock in a storm which is strange because I am also very spontaneous. I think I just have an uncanny knack for knowing when it is appropriate to be settled and when I can cut loose.

My eyes. They change color depending on my mood and sometimes to match what I am wearing.

Books: Anything by Dean Koontz, I like much of Stephen King's work including the Dark Tower series and The Stand, Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover and Financial Peace have changed my life, The Secret, The Harry Potter series was great.

I have recently read: The Audacity of Hope and Dreams From My Father both by Barack Obama, The Universe In A Single Atom by the Dalai Lama, A New Earth - Awakening To Your Life's Purpose and The Power Of Now both by Eckhart Tolle, The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins, The End Of Faith by Sam Harris, On Writing by Stephen King, and the Tao Te Ching...to name a few. So....yes....I like to read.

Movies: I like many movies but my very favorite is Serenity.

Music: My musical taste is varied and my music library is huge. A few of my favorites are Rob Thomas with or without Matchbox 20, Rick Springfield (best live shows ever), Anna Nalick, Bonnie McKee, Kate Voegele, The Beatles, Ryan Cabrera, Carrie Underwood, the list goes on forever.



Food: Anything spicy like Mexican or Thai is good for me but, again, I have a wide variety of taste in food. I like pretty much anything.

Checking out a play, out dancing, attending a concert, maybe catching a movie or spending time doing activities on stage myself like a theatre production, improv or cabaret show.

I will admit to anything because my life is an open book. No regrets in my life...only experiences that have taught me life lessons.
