My self-summary
Genderqueer is probably the best way to describe me...I enjoy the freedom of being able to explore the full range of the human experience and not limit my life to one set of typical gender expression. As a result I am a pretty eclectic person, harder to pin down to an archetype, and therefore much easier to get to know in person. Yet, in the meantime...

I'm an LA native with an affection for technology and a contemplative soul. I have an absolutely stubborn optimism...which trust me is not always a good thing ;-) I find it hard to make time to cook since I get so busy, which I don't find as tragic as you might since I love going out to local restaurants. It took me years to realize you can be angry and in love with someone at the same time (and how healthy it can be). I escaped some pretty extreme poverty to achieve some of my biggest dreams, and I have a lot of pride around that. I daydream often about moving to a huge loft on the 20th floor of some high rise. Then I realize perhaps my money is better spent on other things? Ooooooh like a fancy loft living space...you see my problem?

I lean feminine and submissive, and am open to all kinds of partner(s). While I connect best with other queer persons (and bonus points if you are), this is not a requirement. However you have to be willing to accept me for me (you deserve the same), and there has to be some chemistry there for us to play with. I do well with tomboys and other queer people looking for the feminine lean in a partner. I have been in both poly and monogamous relationships, and find rather than exclusively hold onto one relationship style it is better to chose the boundaries once you meet a partner.

Edit: Username was previously tomlin1, this suits me better.
What I’m doing with my life
I work some hard hours in post production for a news network. I love my job and can tell you more about that in person. While I focus on that constantly, I still find time for other things...friends/family, working on personal goals (learning piano, hitting the gym), enjoying video games/films..etc.

This year I am also spending a lot of time working with the LA Transgender Film Festival as one o the festival organizers. If you have a film you would like to submit or want to volunteer to be apart of the festival, message me!

Goals during the year of our lord (of the rings prequels), 2014
•Learning Piano
•More writing
•Maybe a hair an make-up class?
•Continuing to nurture relations with friends and family
•Yoga (Stretch! Stretch!)
•Putting together a bitching ass film festival with some other great people
I’m really good at
My job, communicating with people. Video Games, frisbee and disc golf. Anything tech, working with Computers. Karaoke?

Destroying Metal Gear time and time again.
The first things people usually notice about me
Well now my crazy long hair ha ha ha. At 15 Inches this is the longest it has ever been...and I might have just thrown some purple in it...BAM! Hee...

I would also say my eyes, my smile...I don't know you tell me!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Still trying to read Middlesex but have been too busy. To Kill A Mockingbird, Great Gatsby, Ender's Game, Choose Your Own Adventure Books,...yeah I read a lot of books as a kid but have had less time for it as an adult until recently. Have any awesome suggestions?

Movies: Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Shawshank Redemption, Vanilla Sky, Mulholland Drive, Blazing Saddles, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Secretary, Jaws, Vertigo, Independence Day, Kung Pow: Enter The Fist, American Beauty,...so many more...

Television: Star Trek: The Next Generation (the reason I work in television), Twin Peaks, Fringe, Battlestar Galactica, LOST, Castle, Nip/Tuck, Firefly, so many more.

Music: Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne, Peter Gabriel, David Bowie, so much more classic rock. Some other stuff too, Kings Of Leon, Florence and the Machine, Coldplay, Bjork,...

Video Games: Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, Fallout 3, Half Life, Portal, Resident Evil, Braid, Mass Effect, Shining Force, Sonic the Hedgehog, Final Fantasy, Uncharted, Battlefield 2, Rock Band...
The six things I could never do without
•My Twin Brother
•Love, and Sex. Experienced together whenever possible.
•Music (it's a big part of my life, man am I overdue for some Karaoke).
•A Computer
•A shower
•Lipstick...? :-* Or at least nail polish? I'll have to think about this last one...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Dreaming about possibilities, practicalities of work deadlines, well being of my friends and family. When I have the time, what video game I should play. The song in my head, the fortune of my life. Slowing down enough to enjoy it all.

Gender queer and LGBT issues, equality, love.
On a typical Friday night I am
Attending a various social gathering, hanging out with my twin brother, out enjoying a movie, squeezing in some exercise before the weekend. Or relaxing and zoning out. OR THROWING A ROCK BAND PARTY (nerd, remember?) I guess my friday nights are not typical.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't think the human experience, nor sexuality , is black and white. We spend a lot of time living as one person or within one role, and most of us don't get the joy of experiencing the whole spectrum of the human equation. I am here to experience a full, diverse life and everything that comes with it. To me that's what it means to really be queer: to be diverse, experience it all, and have as much fucking fun as you can along the way. I think it's disappointing how infrequent it is for male bodied people to be courted by female bodied people. Just an observation.
I’m looking for
  • Everybody
  • Ages 21–38
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, casual sex
You should message me if
Putting this here again, because internet, and those "tldr's" who scroll here first:

More bonus points if you're queerness has masculine leanings, you're a bit more aggressive, tallish with short hair... **swoon** that's all wonderful.

Ultimately I'm here looking for someone who is overall decent and interesting, and whom I have chemistry with...intense, life altering fucking chemistry. A emotional connection, passion, the stuff that makes you feel alive.

Okay OKC...let's see what you got!
