I grew up in South Florida from 3rd grade - high school graduation. Shortly thereafter I joined the Air Force. I spent 4 years in the military, mostly in England. I decided I would go to school at Mizzou because that is where my Dad went to college and I felt like I had to keep that legacy going. 4 1/2 years later (I had to throw in that victory lap) I got my degree in Finance. Weird, because I am pursuing a career in the IT field. I ended up landing a dope job in St. Louis and that's how I ended up here.
As far as hobbies go, I like to read, go to crossfit, play ultimate frisbee, and hike/camp. I got really into back woods hiking and backpacking this year. I climbed my first last year 14,000 foot mountain. I would like to climb a 14'er at least once a year and I'm going to do my damndest to make sure that happens.
I am in an adventure running club called the Hash House Harriers. Our motto is "We are a drinking club, with a running problem."
I feel like I go against the grain on a lot of the 'normal' ways of living. I avoid going to conventional supermarkets, especially Wal-Mart. I also avoid going to most chain-restaurants (except for chipotle; or taco bell when I'm drunk :p). I like to support local as much as possible. I'm pretty sure I will only ever own a manual transmission vehicle.
I guess the most important thing to know about me is that i like to joke around and have fun. If you can't laugh at life then things can look pretty dark.
I have traveled to 5 continents and have been to about 20 countries and most of the US. I have been paid to be tortured in a mock POW camp (funny story, better heard in person though).
There is a ton of experiences and adventures I want to go through:
-I want to go to Australia and do a walkabout
-I want to go rock-climbing, scuba-diving, cave spelunking, and sky diving
