With that said, I am currently figuring out what my goals and aspirations should be since I've decided to lay my foundation here and become actively involved in this community. I love Denver so much, but this place is home to me and I hope it always will be. 2013 has been really good to me for laying down said foundation, so I am eager to allow 2014 to give me time to build on that.
I am also really good at being awesome on Twitter. If you're not on there, well, word around town is that I'm kind of a big deal on there. Okay, not really. Or, maybe. Yes.
The last book I read was 'A People's History of the United States' (really should've read this years ago when I started getting into leftist politics, etc.) and really enjoyed it. Most of my reading consists of fiction works, but I do like to mix it up with the occasional non-fiction subjects like history, political and religious ideology (I'm atheist but love to have a good understanding of the religions around the world), philosophy, and other random things. I own, like, four massive dictionaries that I still like to go through instead of using a simple Google search. That right there is my attempt to sound intellectual or something.
The last movie that really left me in awe was 'Tree Of Life'. It's a beautiful film that has such little dialogue but still says so much. It's truly a piece of art in motion. My usual favorite movies are from all kinds of genres like 'Children Of Men' with science-fiction to 'Hot Rod' with comedy and even some "guilty pleasures" like 'Titanic' and 'The Notebook'. I just recently saw 'Twelve Years a Slave' and it was an emotionally exhausting but also wonderful film.
The last big TV shows I was addicted to and had a marathon of was 'Battlestar Galactica' and 'Breaking Bad'. That show is seriously amazing. My current favorite is 'Doctor Who' for obvious reasons. I loved shows like 'Lost', 'Dexter', 'Mad Men', 'The Office', and my new favorite is 'Parks And Recreation'.
Favorite music? Won't even get into that for now because it'd be way too hard to summarize that part about me.
Damn, my list is boring.
To be more clear, I love to think about socialism, feminism, class struggles, what kind of movie I would make if I had millions of dollars, when I will be getting my next Chipotle burrito, how many likes on Instagram I will get on my newest photo, and so on.
