My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator types me as xNTx, most often as INTP. Which I take with a pinch of salt because I am skeptical about the fields of clinical psychology and psychiatry. The so called professionals of these fields tend to quickly conclude that I am a schizoid sociopath. Which I like to think isn't true.

I think that I'm just a guy who did a lot of things earlier than most people do and consequently got burned out and a bit cynical.

I started out as a problem child. Quite the rebel. Dropped out of 9th grade and never looked back. Still think that it was a good decision.

Since then I've successfully built and sold 3 different businesses. Traveled quite a bit. Met many of the living legends that I wanted to. Became a professional substance abuser somewhere along the way (this takes talent and perseverance believe me). Did rehab.

Trying to find happiness now. Carpe diem and all that shit...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Professionally I'm in Sales & Marketing, and also export leather products. I'm working on moving up the food chain into mergers and acquisitions and eventually becoming an investor.

Other than that, I'm learning astronomy, mathematics and chemistry (this includes cooking food). On the internet and through informal groups.

And trying to focus on the basics: food, exercise, sleep and orgasms. All other things seem to fall in place if I have these covered in a nice routine.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Marketing, sales, computer security, making websites, trading (equities, commodities, derivatives...), driving

Not too bad at snooker/pool either.

People have complained that I zone out during conversations. This is because I multi task in my head or sometimes am just plain dull. I'm still listening though & mean no disrespect. Some have also said that I come across as quiet. I have worked on my small talk skills but I still think before I speak and I generally do not ask or like to be asked questions of a personal nature. Trivial is fine, nosy is not.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: Fiction and satirical commentary, and a bit of philosophy. Big fan of Mr. Hunter S. Thompson & Marcus Aurelius. Favorites include h2g2 & catch-22, A confederacy of dunces and "Do androids dream of electric sheep".

I mostly agree with Descartes' stance, and Howard Bloom's worldview.

Movies: Noir, surrealist, grindhouse, documentaries and arthouse cinema. Tarantino, Werner Herzog, Martin Scorsese, Sidney Lumet & Kaizad Gustad are some directors whom I like.

Music: A lot of classical; Mozart, Beethoven, Rachmaninov, Chopin.

Also 80s rock, soft rock, gangsta rap, Hindi.

I do not own a television but I do enjoy some shows namely; Dexter, Breaking Bad, Magnum P.I, Burn Notice & Pinky and the Brain.

Food: Venison, Japanese, Indian Punjabi, Italian...I'll eat anything with protein. Love me a good steak with blood still on it, fresh sashimi and a crisp Samosa.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I have done, and can do without anything. I take nothing for granted.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The futility & pointlessness of all efforts, creative methods to get stuff done.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Not set in stone but I would either be a) working (which means yelling things into the phone and doodling on sticky notes, seriously) or b) in the company of interesting misfits having long drawn out conversations about a wide range of topics. Hopefully sipping on a warm non alcoholic beverage.

Sometimes I join other lunatics on motorcycle trips which really push the edge, death beckons at every corner. The speeds at which we ride and the fact that I'm still here writing this plays a large part in my being agnostic (yeah, I know- confirmation bias, frequency illusion etc.). Usually we take a telescope out to a farmhouse and talk about things in the night sky & compare it to things on Google sky.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I made a conscious decision to jump out of a third floor apartment's window while drunk, not for reasons suicidal but for the adrenaline rush, nagging curiosity and "fun" factor.

Being the excellent anesthetic that alcohol is, I got up on my feet and walked about 500 meters, bought some cigarettes and walked back to said third floor apartment to sleep off the booze.

I woke up with a nasty hangover of mammoth proportions compounded by the pain, and discovered that I had fractured the tibia in my left leg for which I had to undergo surgery and was bed ridden for 2 months.

I still find this entire incident to be insanely hilarious.
