My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I like to think of myself as the strong, quiet type. I have a lot to say, and am not afraid of taking the initiative, but just take a few moments to open up. It's worth it when I do. I think every person is worth getting to know, and the only way to do that is to listen.

I'll try anything once, and think you need to sample all you can of life!

I'm a big fan of going downtown for dancing and hanging out, but have no problem staying in and watching a movie and having some great conversation.

I recently discovered river rafting and tubing, and they're both a blast!

I love all forms of media - books, movies, music - and love to share my favourites with people, and find new ones. I'm totally hooked on music and love going to concerts!

Autumn is the best season of the year, and it's a great time to go out for walks or drives in the mountains. Just as good for having a warm drink and relaxing with people you like.

Quoting one of my favourite movies ("The Maltese Falcon"): "I'll tell you right out, I am a man who likes talking to a person who likes to talk." One of the best things anyone has ever said about me is that I remind them of an old fashioned movie star.

I'm fiercely loyal, and I don't give up on people easily.

I am witty, laid back, and thoughtful.

I always try my best to be a gentleman, and I think treating a woman right is of the utmost importance. It may be a little old fashioned, but its very important to me.

Everything else blame on genetics and the rain.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm the community editor for the Lakewood Sentinel, part of Colorado Community Media. I cover events in the city from police and government reports to whatever else interesting is happening.

I also have a music column that allows me to write about one of my passions.

I graduated Cum Laude from Metro with a journalism major and an English literature minor, so the written word is very important. I'd love to write for a music magazine like Stereogum or Rolling Stone, and work on my own fiction.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cheering people up. Cheering people on. I love listening to people, and doing whatever I can to help.

I'm a really fast reader, so I go through books very quickly. I've been told I'm a gifted writer, and am always experimenting with different stories and forms.

Quoting applicable movies/lyrics/books at the drop of a hat.

I give great hugs.

I make totally brilliant mix-tapes (or CDs, I guess).

I also am pretty good at being sarcastic, but never in a cruel way.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Is that I'm making them laugh.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Friends, music, Italian food, films, writing, books.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The people I love, story ideas, music, the future. My mind is always working away at something.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At home reading or watching a movie. I go out with friends when the chance arises, or when there's a new movie or concert I want to see, but I'm perfectly happy relaxing with a book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When I need inspiration for writing, I watch Aaron Sorkin's television shows (Sports Night, The West Wing and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip) hoping I'll be able to pick up even a little of his writing style.

I think of the sexiest looks for a woman is wearing one of her boyfriend's shirts. They write whole songs about it.
