O- "You're either livin' or you're diein'." I remember when the idea of optimism versus pessimism was posited to me and thinking why on Earth would anyone choose to view life through a negative lens. For me, might as well have fun while you're here.
C- Work hard, play/chill harder. I work for Toshiba and sell copiers. Update - I recently made a lateral move away from management and am loving it. It has restored some much needed balance in my life giving me more time to hang out with you. While it does soak up a fair amount of my time I don't define myself by my job. Don't get me wrong; I do like my job. To me though, work is work. I'm pretty sure that even if I made one of my hobbies (e.g. hot tubbing) my job that it would eventually become work. Copiers are just a vehicle to let me do what I really want in life.
H- Nature and music! I need lush forest. That is a huge part of why I live in Asheville. I grew up in the woods and they are my playground. I love all types of camping. The redwoods in California are my church; easily the most spiritual place I have ever been.
I would rather be blind than deaf. I am always down to check out a live show. I particularly enjoy festivals (LEAF, Grassroots, MOOG) as they pair my love of camping and music. In no certain order here are a few groups I like: Apple-Fiona, Audioslave, Beastie Boys, Bach, Bjork, Crystal Method, Charlie Parker, Deftones, Dido, Eels, EASY STAR ALL STARS, Flaming Lips, Fatboy Slim, G-Love, Girltalk, Gomez, HENDRIX, Handsome Boy Modeling School, Iron & Wine, Incubus, Jurassic 5, John Brown's Body, Korn, KRS-1, Live, Lenny Kravitz, Modest Mouse, Marley-Bob, MASSIVE ATTACK, Mozart, Nine Inch Nails, Naughty by Nature, Okenfold-Paul, OutKast, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Queen, Q-Tip, Rage, RADIOHEAD, SUBLIME, SOUL COUGHING, Talib Kweli, THIEVERY CORPORATION, Umphrey's McGee, Urchin, Verve-The, Vedder-Eddie, Wu-Tang, Weezer, Xex Cuts, Yeasayer, Zeppelin-Led
I also play music. I wail on Kazoo! I am second best at Violin. My parents had me playing from age 3 which I continued through college. I am mediocre at guitar, drums and mandolin.
N- My undergrad was in neuroscience. Enough said? No, OK. I was in quiz bowl and science olympiad in high school. I also dig on technology. Heck I sell copiers for a living. My Dad and I tool out at the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas every year. I wholly subscribe to National Geographic in magazine and channel format. Lastly, MythBusters win!
