My self-summary
Hey there, I'm Tori. Not quite sure how to start one of these, but lets give it a go, shall we? I'd like to start out by stating that I am not looking for a fuck buddy. Anybody interested in just this alone should turn around and leave right now, because I'm tired of being screwed over.

I guess its time for an update, considering its been about a year now. Ugh, where to start? I'm twenty two going on forty two going on two. There are times when I'm too mature for my own good, but I'm also very naive in my outlook. I just got out of the most serious relationship I've ever been in, and my options are simply open right now. I'm not actively looking, but my eyes aren't closed anymore.

Basically what I want is something serious. I just want to be happy with someone I'm comfortable with. Someone who will love me and pick me up when I'm hating myself. Someone who will let me love them in return.

I'm an activist at heart, hoping to one day work as an animal cruelty investigator for the SPCA. I used to run a little rescue out of a one bedroom apartment where we weren't even allowed pets. I put myself out there way too much to help animals, and people often get frustrated by this but its my passion.

I pretty much get along with everybody, unless you're trying to convert me into something I'm not interested in, ha. People tell me I'm too nice, at times.

What I’m doing with my life
Right now I'm in a rough place. I have probably the worst luck of any human being, ever. Back in November I was laid off from my job, went on unemployment, and when that ran out I had to find any work I could. I work at Subway, for now, trying to get back on my feet again. What am I doing with my life? Absolutely nothing, but I'm trying to change that.

I’m really good at
Er, hmm. I don't really think I'm good at anything. I have a few quirky little talents, such as being able to say the ABCs backwards, being able to look at any dog and tell you what breed/mix it is, or being able to type 70+ words a minute. I'm good at procrastinating, good at changing my mind, and good at letting people down. I know way too many tiny, trivial facts about animals, and am a walking encyclopedia if you make the mistake of taking me in to a zoo.

The first things people usually notice about me
The first thing people usually notice about me is... probably how awkward I am at first. First impressions are usually my downfall, but after a few minutes people tell me that I'm sweet, and too nice. They'll notice my hair, which is currently black and blue. They might notice how blind I am, how thick my glasses are. They might comment on how short I am, the fact that I'm quiet, or I giggle at inappropriate comments. I am the most shy person you will ever meet, and I would rather listen than speak, unless you get me started by asking questions. Even then, I will be awkward at first. Fair warning!

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books! I'll read anything that sits still long enough. Fiction, non fiction, biographies, memoirs. I adore books above all else. I like fantasy series, Harry Potter and (yes) Twilight. I tend to hate the last book in the series, though, if only because it means its over. I like sappy books about dogs. I like long books, anything over seven hundred pages can keep me going for a while. The only kind of book I don't read are those corny romance novels. You know the ones. With the embossed covers with the picture of the buff, long haired dude with a chick clasped to his exposed chest on a windy hill top with a cottage in the background. I cannot stomach those books.

I love funny movies. Anything with Will Ferrell (Anchorman, Step Brothers, and Elf being my favorites. Oh! And Talledega Nights. Could quote that one, word for word.). Anything with Seth Rogan. Role Models! I love that movie. I also really love the classic cartoon movies I grew up on. Don Bluth is my GOD. All Dogs Go to Heaven and The Land Before Time. Pure Genius. Rock a Doodle! Who remembers that?! I love that! Also, The Brave Little Toaster. I want to be buried with a copy of that. Disney movies, too. The classic ones, thank you very much. 101 Dalmatians, Lady and the Tramp. Romantic comedies keep me entertained for a little while. Uplifting movies, movies that make people happy. I hate suspenseful movies. I'm learning to like scary movies. There are a LOT of movies I've never seen. I'm working on it, though!

Music completes me. I like anything good, by which I mean anything that falls under the loose category of 'rock'. Anything from funky cool to heavy headbanging to awesome alternative. The Killers, Blue October, Mudvayne, System of a Down, Radiohead. I'm becoming more open minded about more kinds of music, too, though.

People hate me for this, but I really kind of don't like pizza. I like Chinese food, though, ha.

Where's the part for video games?! I like the classic SNES games. Well, anything from Nintendo really. Okami is my favorite game of all time. I like to watch people play more than I like to have people watch me play, though. Most times it makes me nervous when people watch me play a game for the first times.

The six things I could never do without
Books! I cannot live without books. I want an Amazon Kindle so bad I can smell it. Download books wirelessly?! Yes please. Alright, moving on: My cell phone. Yes, its a weakness. I would absolutely die without this tiny piece of technology. Its my window to the world when I'm feeling introverted, my life line when I wanna get out for a little while, hell, its even my alarm clock. I hate talking on the phone, though. There are only about two or three people in the entire world I actually talk to on the phone. I love to text, though. Unlimited texting = genius. Alright, next one, my car. My wheels are my freedom, and I cannot live without it. Before my car I had the best vehicle known to man, a giant, old ford bronco. Sadly, my baby died and now I have a more economical volkswagon jetta, which I am learning to love just as much. I couldnt' live without my friends. They'll never have any idea how much they've done for me. They might be immature dicks most of the time, but they've made me who I am today, and I have to be grateful for that. I couldn't live without my dog. I have a three year old chihuahua named Lilly. She does not fit the stereotype of a fat headed little ankle biter. She's smart, has a wicked sense of humor, and is the only reason I get out of bed some days. Last, I couldn't live without laughter. It picks me up when I'm down, distracts me from my impeccable bad luck, and keeps me looking forward to another day.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
My mind is incredibly random at times. I spend a lot of time thinking about shoes, because I am such a girl over a pair of cute shoes. Also, hats. I love hats. Its like I'm opening my eyes for the first time and really seeing things, letting myself develop my own sense of likes and dislikes. So I think about what I like, what I don't like. I like hatchback cars, pretty rugs, cute shoes, and hats.

On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with my friends. Sometimes getting drunk. Sometimes going to the movies or just chilling. Occasionally I'll just kick it at home and read a good book, chat with friends online, or play video games.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Ha, I don't know. There's a lot of things about myself that I keep private, except when I get to know someone of course. I just want something good, something happy. Someone I can tell these things to. I'm really, really scared of getting into another relationship. I just got out of the most serious one yet, and I just don't know what I'm doing.

I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 19-29
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, long-distance penpals
You should message me if
I think it would be easier to say: You SHOULDN'T message me if: you disagree with anything I've said here. If you couldn't put up with my friends. If you couldn't put up with my insecurities or occasional anti-social behavior. And that's about it. I like people. I like to talk. Lets talk.
