I like deep conversations, but don't take myself too seriously. I'm certainly not too proud to laugh at myself; I have a sarcastic and sometimes silly sense of humor. I believe in Jesus, and being active in a healthy Christian community is important to me. I highly value being real and speaking the truth in love. I'm easy-going, patient, inquisitive, and enjoy learning new things. I had wanted to learn all about building a house. So when I moved to Portland some years ago, I jumped at the chance to take a break from software and work for my cousin building a house start to finish. I know a little Espanol, and would maybe like to learn more. I'm somewhat allergic to most large dog breeds.
I'm searching for a best friend with chemistry and sparks, that I connect with on emotional, spiritual, and intellectual levels.
What I’m doing with my life
I have a great job doing software for a humanitarian aid non-profit. For fun I like live music, hiking, cross-country skiing, strategy board games, and live theater. For regular exercise I had to give up running and switched to biking, but I'm loving it!
I’m really good at
Understanding other points of view. Sleeping in. Noticing details.

The six things I could never do without
Authentic Christian community
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Wondering how things work.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
As a young kid, I was terrified of Santa Claus. We didn't have a chimney, but I made sure all the windows and doors were secure and locked on Christmas Eve.
