Somewhere along the way I also want to have fun, travel, meet people, be fascinated by new information and relax, ideally with a mojito and sunshine.
"Our brains are differential engines". Ok, that doesn't actually make sense, but a comedian who's podcast I listen to always says it. The idea is our brains can only judge things in comparison with other things. So why surround yourself with people with the exact same interests as you? I love to hear people talk about whatever their passion is. I find it fascinating how things which I subconsciously assume are simple are actually really damn complicated. I once had maybe an hour long conversation with a print shop owner about all the different printing technology. Can't remember it much now, but fascinating at the time.
"We'll all float on okay" - Modest Mouse and another part of my philosophy. Life is pretty messed up, at least if you're doing it right. Sometimes things just seem to conspire against you. But I like to try to float through things, by keeping one eye on the horizon ("it'll all work out in the long run") and one eye on this very moment ("man this cheese is delicious").
NOTE: In case you're curious, I am in the process of moving from an old profile, so if you think you've seen me before on here, you have!
