I'm a happily non-monogamous/monogamish/poly dweeb here in Logan Square. I don't take myself, or anyone else seriously.

I'm obsessive about music, and a little less so but kind of about movies. I will talk you ear off, but I'll try not to be a snob. I love bad movies, horror movies and movies with really long tracking shots.

I like to talk, ask direct questions, and have good conversations. I'm told, by the laughter of others, that I'm a funny person, you must take my word for it. I'm somewhat snobby about beer. I am of low to middling skill at self-summarizing.

I'm a songwriter. I also have a job that's unrelated to that.

I am in a non-monogamous relationship with my partner rozeattack6, she's the best person in the world, after Gandhi. (but Ghandi is dead, also fuck Gandhi.)

My views on love and relationships fall outside of the mainstream in that I think monogamy is great, but also overrated and that our entire culture surround love and sex needs a massive re-write. Love should not be about possession, not every relationship that doesn't end in death is a failure and people shouldn't put sex on a pedestal. Love is an abundant resource, that people close themselves off to, not a scare resource that needs to be protected with fire and blood. (Catch the reference and get a point on the non-existent score card I'm not keeping.)

Other than brazenly challenging social norms I'm engaged in lots of minor self-improvement tasks, planning a vacation to London, and learning how to be a dog owner.
