My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Chances are you've never met anyone quite like me, and until you do, you never knew you wanted to.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
More than some folk, less than others.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Long-winded answers to extremely straightforward questions. Possibly because I'm American and as I've spent more time with my countrymen of late, I notice it is quite typical. Possibly though, just because that's how I'm wired; I share my thought process rather than just the answer...
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Me... I'm a noticeable person...

I am gonna give this list thing a go...

Books - Invisible Cities by Calvino is my uber fave but my tastes run the gamut and I enjoy prose/poetry, fiction/non-fiction and their many sub-genres. I just enjoy books. You always learn something, whatever you read.

Music - indie pop from the 90s is top but I dig classic R&B (brill building stuff), classic country, classic hip-hop, Spinal Tap (brilliant songs!), contemporary indie, northern soul. Most music with guitars really.

Fillum - art house and foreign cinema primarily but Trading Places, with Eddie Murphy and Dan Ackroyd (another secret crush) is an all time favourite.

Telly - is background noise but I do watch it. Dramas, documentaries and of course, the Antiques Road Show.

Not really sure if that helps though...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Books, music, water, air, companionship, and good food.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Lots of things. My mind is very noisy.

And occasionally, I wonder... Is "short-term dating" a euphemism for "casual sex" that ladies are meant to use to keep their inbox volumes down?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Leaving work too late. Home or pub after depends on the company.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I still wonder if Lloyd Dobler will show up outside my window playing a dodgy Peter Gabriel track on a boom box....

Oh, and I'm lying about my age.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
... if you're ginger or tattooed or taller than me or shorter than me and ok with that, and a little different to the average bear... Those are all good things. If you're not any of the above, that's ok too, as long as you're a grown up, and interesting and intelligent, and if you're passionate about something (even trains!), that's a start.
