I'm originally from Texas, but I moved to New York for work about two years ago. I'm really happy with the decision- I love the city, my job, living in Brooklyn - basically I love my life here.

I read constantly and sometimes take notes on interesting programs from the History Channel, yet I can never find my keys.

I work for a non-profit literacy program in Brooklyn, which means I hire college students and train them to work with preschoolers. In the end, I get to feel like I'm still in college while also periodically visiting classrooms to get hugs from tiny people.

Scrabble. As far as other pathetic talents go, I'm freakishly good with names and dates. And not to be intimidating, but I also won a first-place ribbon in a hula hooping contest on field day in 1994.

I'm not sure about the first thing people notice about me, but I do know who notices me first - the elderly. They love me!
