My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm Jordan. I'm from the SF bay area but have lived in Portland for about 8 years now. I've been vegetarian/vegan for over half my life but I am not militant or annoying about it. I'm a big music fan and spend most of my days with headphones on or vinyl spinning.

I go to a lot of live shows around Portland, I have an eclectic taste but I seem to always end up at a punk show. I see live comedy when people I like are in town and lately I've been liking going to see old movies in pub theaters. Once the weather gets a little better I'm hoping to start hiking again and going on increasingly long bike rides.

None of that summarizes who I am, this is a terrible summary of myself. I'll rewrite this later.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduated college earlier this year and now work insane hours at multiple jobs. Because of the jobs I have an insane schedule and keep really weird hours. In between shifts I nap and play with my 18 year old cat and 2 month old kitten. I read a lot (but not enough) and listen to music constantly. I'd really like to travel more and get my masters but money is keeping me from both. I've been single for over a year and have moved away from friends who aren't so good for me. I'd really like to meet some cool people and develop friendships that are healthy and meaningful.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm not good at knowing what I'm good at. I know things and I can do things, I guess I'm good at some of them. I can juggle, cook and make you laugh. Probably at the same time.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not sure, ask them. Maybe that I look grumpy or that I'm wearing weather inappropriate clothes.

Music is a huge part of my life, I got my first job at a record label and had my own for a few years. I listen to music all day and one of my favorite things to do is to discover and share it. I like things from any genre but I usually stick with indie stuff and punk. Jay Reatard, The Lost Sounds, Alkaline Trio, The Microphones, Tegan and Sara, The Beatles, The Cranberries, Mean Jeans, Joni Mitchell, Marked Men, Cursive, Les Savy Fav, The New Pornographers, Rae Spoon, Mirah, The Thermals, Ty Segall, Kurt Vile, A Silver Mt. Zion, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Fleetwood mac. the list goes on and on and on. I've got too much vinyl and my computer is clogged with MP3s.

I have too many favorites, I can be snobby about my tastes but I also have some criminally bad guilty pleasures. I loved Vonnegut but haven't read any in years. I had a few Hemingway years, a Dostoevsky Winter and I read The Dark Tower books by Stephen King in a few fevered months. Camus, I'm deep into the works of David Foster Wallace now, Infinite Jest changed me.

In addition to being a music snob I am also a film nerd. My favorite movie is Heaven, but I have a hundred #2's everything from fifth element and star wars to that thing you do and wayne's world.

I watch too much tv too, seasons at a time, but only as a procrastination tool and friend when I've got insomnia. I watch all the shows you like. Six Feet Under, The Wire, The West Wing, Arrested Development, Dead Like Me, True Blood and Mad Men are just a few that I've been addicted to at some point.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- A huge library of music
- A huge library of books
- pens
- paper
- a well worn hoodie
- somebody to talk to
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Really wanting to go out but not finding anything to do, probably staying in to watch a movie, cook or read.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The trailer for Les Misérables with crying Anne Hathaway made me tear up the first time I saw it. And the second.,, and the... nevermind.

I've read books written by Ethan Hawke.

Even though I have no religious feelings whatsoever, I kinda like it when this one Jehovah's Witness comes to my door every few weeks with a new idea to share with me.
