like new yawk style verbal ass kickin', but love the warm Berkeley embrace afterwards(LOL). fond of jungles,sarcasm, furry creatures(especially dogs),brilliant-down-to-earth-humans,meditation,tree houses, healthy food and backpacking gear. spent ten years overseas,primarily in developing countries, doing aid work and having adventures. Despite all of that, I am very much a new york style pragmatist, soulful, serious, assertive, kind, stylish, empathic, goofy, humorous, affectionate, open-minded, grounded, communicative, loyal, and independent.

most folks think that i am quite outgoing, oftentimes it's compensation for being a bit shy

you have a gentle eye, but are not naive. You desire to be needed, but not needfully so. Patient but not passive. comfortable with expressing affection and passion and derives joy from seeing it expressed around them. Someone who has the strength to know that there is nothing to despair of in being overwhelmed and is more determined to experience life than to stabilize it. A person who seeks irrepressible energy. Fearlessness. Not always at first maybe, but once you can think it through. sarcastic perhaps, but not viciously so. playfully mocking even, but not embittered. I don't have an agenda. Just looking for an honest forthright person who has had enough experience to make some sense. with whom I can have enough chemistry to resonate. whos opinionated and wants to talk about the world, their story and that of others, the mundane and all that's in between. can periodically bear to ask themselves what the F@#$ they are doing and not freak out. and has dreams, whether they are able to be realized or not. be open to both realism and hedonism.
