Books: I'm going with In Cold Blood as my favorite ever. My
bookshelf includes titles from Bukowski, HST, and Vonnegut. Right
now my [figurative] bookmark finds its home in Zen and the Art of
Movies: According to what my Netflix tells me, the movies I like
are usually some combination of: "violent", "gritty",
"visually-striking", and/or "dark." This could pertain to Westerns,
serious dramas, crime dramas, comedies, film noir, etc.
Music: Lots of Cold War Kids and Yeasayer lately, supported by the
likes of the Black Keys, the Shins, Editors, Dr Dog, et al. But my
list of the best 5 albums ever recorded only contains one made
during my lifetime (hint: I was 5. Wait, that's no hint; how many
albums were released in 85 - had to be minimum 5,000).
**Related side note: if you ever need a pick-me-up on a down day,
find your nearest copy of Hall & Oates' "You Make My Dreams"
and turn it to 11. If you do not break into uncontrollable joy
there is something wrong with you.
Food: I like food. Except green peas. But I'm down with split peas;
