What I’m doing with my life

i am a part owner in a mechanical insulating company. we do commercial/industrial construction. mostly schools and hospitals. i work out in the field, and i'm ok with doing that today. i make enough money to be pretty comfortable. i like to write poetry/song lyrics. i have been published, but anyone can be published with a minimum of effort. i am looking at buying my first home this fall, and it looks very probable.

I’m really good at

being nice- especially to people that i don't know very well. being direct and to the point. some fun things that i won't mention here- ask if you want to know. very good at getting the job done, regardless of the task.

probably my side burns. i recently trimmed them down so maybe something else. i don't know. i am not other people. you tell me.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

books- i have read almost everything stephen king. i just finished the descent by jeff long. great stuff. i like the twisted stories best i guess. i like comedies mostly- kevin smith movies, the jerk, super troopers, anything that is just ridiculous i will probably like. music- i have very eclectic tastes. i like mostly underground/indie music, whether it is rap or pop. i like jedi mind tricks, 7l&esoteric, celph titled, the decemberists, they might be giants, just started listening to mickey avalon and he is just plain retarded, but pretty funny. i'm not going to make a long list just because i would rather just tell you what is good to me. food- i like italian, mexican, some french, so-called american cuisine.

The six things I could never do without
