My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a loyal friend and family member, and I don't take anything for granted. I'm a very affectionate person, optimistic, and have a lust for life. I'm looking for someone similar who is emotionally stable, intelligent, and kind.

I'd like to meet a woman to enjoy DC with, get to know in a dating context, and hopefully eventually build a relationship with.

I would like to be with someone with quite a few different interests than mine. Although our interests DO NOT have to match at all, but it would be nice if you shared at least one of the following:

a true love of music,
an affinity for writing and/or reading (bonus points if you blog, were an English major, or work in a writing, editing, or journalistic job!),
want to check out a play or a comedy show-- ever been to DC Improv? Great comics roll in and your can go for 10 or 15 bucks,
have the willingness to go to a Caps or Nats game,
an interest in psychology or the mental health field,
a healthy appetite to see new and classic movies,
a background that enables you to speak Spanish (poorly, okay, or fluently),
a taste for coffee,
or a desire to visit new places around DC.

I really enjoy going to the movies (especially thrillers, film noir, indie, blockbuster dramas, and comedies) I would LOVE to get to more shows/concerts, even of local or unheard of bands!

I'd be down to check out some local museums. The Air and Space museum branch out in Northern VA where they have the Concorde and I think a space shuttle is one I've been meaning to visit for a while... Plus everything I mentioned above and any activities based around those interests.

On the other hand, besides my own pet interests, I'm really up for anything and excited about trying new things. So if you have a creative date idea, try me! I'll probably be down.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working towards my goals and enjoying it!

So where am I with my life? I am currently seeking employment in full-time writing jobs, such as positions at non-profits, trade associations, and the like. I'm also interviewing for paralegal jobs (which I did in New York for 4 years before I moved back to DC recently to recover from a health condition). What I'd really like would be to become a staff writer or combination PR/grant-writer/staff writer. It's not something I've done before but I've always been an exceptional writer and it's what I love to do.

However I don't think people are merely defined by the "what do you do" cocktail question or even the basic nature of their job and the time it occupies in their life. I enjoy many things, including reading in Spanish and in English, being a huge music nerd and constantly discovering unfamiliar artists and building mega playlists on Spotify, working out, playing Catch Phrase or Cards Against Humanity at parties, following baseball and hockey, and going out around town--whether it's to a new restaurant or a pool hall. There are many things I aspire to in my life, and being a staff writer at some wonky place forever is not one of them--although it should be a perfect step for now!

I had a beard for years but I shaved it and it feels good. Sorry, beard fetishists...

CORRECTION! HAVE NO FEAR THE BEARD IS HERE!

Brought it back before the holidays and looks like it's here to stay. :)

Also, realized the beard isn't really private 'cause it's on your FACE, so I will share one other thing:

I have a Prince Albert!

(I'm kidding.)

Seriously, if you'd like to learn something actually true about me that is very personal, meet me in person. I'll open up quickly if I'm comfortable with you.
