I was a Spanish major in college and received a grant to study in Argentina. I love Latin American culture and speaking Spanish, and I am currently in the midst of a career transition back to my original job out of college which was teaching Spanish. This time I plan to work with an older age group (I worked with middle schoolers before-- ack!) and will probably go back for a Master's degree in Spanish to further my knowledge and guide my curriculum.
I am a big music fan with eclectic tastes and I am always down to see live music. I used to help promote a local band called Cavalier Rose in my free time when I lived in New York. They had an awesome style--raw blues rock in the vein of Led Zeppelin but with an edgy female vocalist who was classically trained and infused the blues with hints of jazz and offbeat stacatto ramblings. She could of been a love child of Janis Joplin and Robert Plant.
I love baseball and going to ballgames! I also am getting more into soccer and every time the World Cup comes around I follow it closely and root for the USA and Argentina. My favorite sport of all is hockey, and if anyone wants to watch the Caps with me, I'm in!
