My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I consider myself a loyal and conscientious friend.

I was a Spanish major in college and received a grant to study in Argentina. I love Latin American culture and speaking Spanish, and I am currently in the midst of a career transition back to my original job out of college which was teaching Spanish. This time I plan to work with an older age group (I worked with middle schoolers before-- ack!) and will probably go back for a Master's degree in Spanish to further my knowledge and guide my curriculum.

I am a big music fan with eclectic tastes and I am always down to see live music. I used to help promote a local band called Cavalier Rose in my free time when I lived in New York. They had an awesome style--raw blues rock in the vein of Led Zeppelin but with an edgy female vocalist who was classically trained and infused the blues with hints of jazz and offbeat stacatto ramblings. She could of been a love child of Janis Joplin and Robert Plant.

I love baseball and going to ballgames! I also am getting more into soccer and every time the World Cup comes around I follow it closely and root for the USA and Argentina. My favorite sport of all is hockey, and if anyone wants to watch the Caps with me, I'm in!

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I had a beard for years but I shaved it and it feels good. Sorry, beard fetishists...

Brought it back before the holidays and looks like it's here to stay. :)

Also, realized the beard isn't really private 'cause it's on your FACE, so I will share one other thing.

I used to have a hard time buying pants that fit. (No I wasn't an overgrown rhinocerous.) I simply had trouble with the sizes. I sometimes wished there was a one-size-fits-all pant...

I would often have to make a few exchanges to get the size right. This was further complicated by me frequently losing weight rapidly as a result of robust exercise and sometimes gaining a bit back as a result of my love for burritos. Ah, first world problems.

So when you see me today wearing pants that fit, give me a little mental pat on the back. For me it is an accomplishment that required years of personal growth.

And I look damn good in 'em! ;-)
