I'm a young professional who recently decided to take a sabbatical
from my professional life. And so, while I'm in Law School at
night, I quit a job I loved to spend a little more time on me.
Would love to spend a little time with some new people, too.
I moved to Boston on a whim about five years ago and have a
love-hate relationship with it. I hate snow, and I miss my good ol'
Pennsylvania home cookin', but love the city and all the awesome
people I've met here so far.
I'm looking for someone to experience life with, so to speak.
Whether that's just for a short time as friends, as lifelong
friends, or taking that friendship to another level, it's always
nice to go through your life with others. I've been told I'm smart,
witty and sarcastic, with a great sense of humor and the perfect
balance of seriousness and childlike fun.
What I’m doing with my life
Sometimes I think I'll be in school forever. No, seriously,
forever. I'm in my final year of Law School at night (four years!
Ahhh!) after receiving my Master's from Northeastern (also at
I left my job as a VP at a strategic communications/political
consulting firm. I loved my job, but between the hours there and
trying to finish law school I ran out of candle to burn at both
edges. Since then I've worked for a ton of state and federal
agencies, with a focus on ethics and employment. (A lawyer, with
ethics? Who knew?!) So, I'm taking some time away from working,
while trying to keep track of old friends scattered across the
globe and try to meet new friends here in Boston.
The first things people usually notice about me
I look a lot younger than I actually am.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
One of my all-time favorite books and movies is Les Liaisons
Dangereuses (and all the movies based upon it, including Dangerous
Liaisons, Eternal Scandal, Cruel Intentions and Valmont). I also
loved the Wicked series, The Mists of Avalon, The Borgia Bride,
Company and Jennifer Government. I tend to like books involving
political scandal and fictional politics (I deal enough with real
politics to not necessarily want to read about it all the
Music is a mixed bag for me, everything from classical to rap to
dance to pop. Not a huge country fan, though.
I LOVE FOOD. I'm a fat kid at heart. Sadly, I have a peanut
allergy, but otherwise I love to try new foods. Love pasta, Philly
Cheesesteaks, and just about anything fried.
The six things I could never do without
My friends, my family, good food, wine, Yuengling, Computers. In
I spend a lot of time thinking about
School, the future, work, the meaning of life. (Okay, not really)
On a typical Friday night I am
at my usual bar/restaurant of choice. It's sorta a tradition. I
like the idea of a standing post-work spot (can't say happy hour in
this state, which sucks) where we can catch up, have a drink or
two, before heading out to our own Friday plans. It's awesome!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm kinda shy on these web sites and don't usually make the first
move. I'm a lot more outgoing in person. Strange, I know.
You should message me if
You're fun, funny and amazingly successful. (Okay, okay, just
kidding). If I look interesting, feel free to send me a message!
