My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
"That rare combination of expendable and invulnerable."

I'm not very good at making the first move. Originally from New York (the actual city, not just the state) but now out here in the bright California sun (which burns my fair Irish skin like I'm a vampire). Lookin' for love in all the wrong places (meaning I haven't found it sitting on my couch). I believe it is statistically impossible for so many people to be "laid back" and "relaxed" so I am going to say I am stressed and uncomfortable.

It is obvious I am a geek. Wednesday is my holiest day of the week. I try to be funny but worry that sometimes I just come off as odd. I don't really know what else I can say about myself.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am currently pursuing a career as a screenwriter/novelist and trying to make it big in Hollywood (like 90% of all the other people who come to California) . In the meantime I run a blog called .
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I like to be creative so I write a lot and I used to sculpt a lot in school. I like to keep my mind busy so I've gotten really good at crossword puzzles. I'm also really good at reciting random bits of trivial knowledge that make people look at me funny like "Why the hell do you know that?". Also spoiling films and TV shows. I am REALLY GOOD at that.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I like the color green and know almost everything about comic books. Oh and I am definitely of Irish heritage. Also that I laugh when I'm nervous.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love comic books (Powers, Avengers, Fables, Batman, Justice League, Buffy, Saga, Invincible, many many others), sci-fi (Star Trek, Star Wars, B*G, Babylon 5) and fantasy (Dragons of Pern, Game of Thrones, LOTR).

I recently came to the realization I am an atheist so I am reading books on that a lot. Along with that I read a lot of "Random Trivia" type books and books on the history and cultural significance of comic books and graphic novels.

I watch nearly all types of movies and tv shows (currently enjoying Once Upon A Time, Misfits, Doctor Who, The West Wing, Downton Abbey, Legit, all the Seth MacFarlane shows, Being Human, Scandal, The Big Bang Theory, Arrow, Supernatural), particular love of action and science fiction. And Horror. Big horror fan. I try to see every comic book movie its opening weekend.

It would be impossible for me to list the actual movies I consider "favorites" since I watch far more than would be considered healthy. Same with food, though I have never been a fan of seafood (with very few exceptions).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Were I to make these six magic horcruxes they would include my laptop, a copy of Ender's Game, my puppy, my Dark Knight poster (which I won in a trivia contest so I am extremely proud of it), Starbucks (not the easiest Horcrux) and my DVR (can't remember the last time I watched a show during its scheduled time slot).

Oh, and my sister just had a baby so I am absolutely madly in love with my little niece.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Super heroes and the cultural significance of them. Strange and bizarre aspects of popular culture. Usually things that will make a good entry in my blog. And naked women. I think about that A LOT. Also new ideas for the scripts and books I write. If I can find some way to combine all these things, all the better. Also how I'd be completely useless in a zombie apocalypse.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually watching TV or reading. Maybe go to a movie if I don't think it will be too crowded. Of course if this whole OKCupid thing works out I hope to spend friday nights with a lovely lady.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Well I originally had something written here about pornstars but it sounded creepy. So instead I'll admit I cry at the movies.

you find chubby geeky guys sexy and cool. I'm your man!

Also if you're an actual REAL girl and not someone soliciting for a cam page, dating service or a hooker (okay, MAYBE if you're a hooker). I want to actually talk to real women who are interesting.

Basically if you want someone to cuddle up on the couch with and watch movies and TV, inquire within.
