I am direct and forward, and I tell the truth. I highly value personal responsibility, and don't like to waste time. Having said all of that, I am good at not missing social cues and so I taper the amount of direct/forwardness to the person I'm hanging out with.

I am quite outgoing and have no trouble talking to people. Of the past trips that I have gone on, most have been solo trips. I also live alone.

I think I write decent high-level self-summaries, but nevertheless dislike them.

Where to start! I moved to NZ from Vancouver in early 2012 to study law and commerce. While leaving Vancouver was tough, I wanted to be closer to my family who are partly here. NZ has quite a similar legal system to Canada so getting a law degree here is pretty easy to transfer back once I finish.

I ran an exterior cleaning business in Canada for a number of years and am quite intrigued by the business world, so I plan on working as a lawyer representing businesses. Call me crazy, but I want to sue people for a living.

It was a few years ago that I wound up on a stopover in Asia. Since then I have been going there every year and trying to get everywhere else the wind could take me. Well not really the wind but you get the picture. A really big part of who I am, my accomplishments, and my motivations derive from travel. While I had to figure out for myself that life does indeed follow you wherever you go, I have learned quite a bit along the way.

Quite aside from travel I also consider myself to be quite independent. I view self-responsibility very highly, so much so that people have from time to time viewed my worldview as uncaring. This couldn't be farther from the truth.

Arguing. Foreign Languages. Playing devil's advocate. Cooking. Skiing. Over-analysing.

Probably that I'm talking. I also have a Canadian accent.

All of this presupposes that I actually have time to do leisure reading or watch TV. If I were honest about this whilst I'm studying, it would read 'books: required reading. Movies/Shows: n/a'.
