I really try to do the best I can in my job...for my students. I wouldn't be able to do a job that was just a job, just a way to make money, counting down the minutes until I get to go home, or something like that. I mean I guess if I were in a situation where I couldn't teach anymore and I had to just do something, then maybe I'd feel like that, but I would try to make it enjoyable. I think it is very important to have a meaningful way to spend the majority of your hours each day, so I try to think about what it is my students need to learn and how I can best provide that for them, or how I can help them to help themselves and be more independent with their language learning. I'm saying all this because I think I would best get along with someone who feels similarly about their work, or about something else that they spend a lot of time doing....just being passionate about something, and preferably something beyond Steelers football or other black and gold passions. :) I know, I know, don't get on here and trash talk football and expect anyone to appreciate that! I'm not trash talking it, just saying I'd get along best with someone who has other passions too.
About dating, I am looking for something long-term though I'm not looking to jump at the first thing that comes my way, if that makes sense. I'm old enough now to know what I want to find in a relationship and I know that I have a lot to offer to the right person. I tend to put a lot of energy into things and people that I care about and it would be really nice to have that reciprocated with a "right person". I like to say "a right person" not "the right person" because "the right person" sounds too limiting...there can be all kinds of right people out there for us....not a perfect ONE...i don't want to look for perfection in someone...that's just too much unnecessary pressure...so I like to exchange some thoughts/ideas/funny stuff, then meet up and see if we have a good time, a good talk, a good laugh!
