I am pretty bad at describing myself... so this is a project in works...

I am an easy, laid back person. I enjoy relaxing at home and just going with the flow of things. I do enjoy being active, getting out and enjoying the world just as much.

One of the biggest joys I get out of life is helping other people. Be it my job, where I help people every day, helping a friend by listening or something more, I get joy, pleasure out of making sure others feel joy and pleasure.

I am both logical and artsy, which makes for an interesting combination and a broad spectrum of things I enjoy.

I want to get out and enjoy life while I'm still young, experiencing new things and doing instead of watching life roll by.

I'm very open and honest, although a little shy at first. I'll answer any questions asked.

I'm a single mom, so there is that. My son takes up a fair amount of my days.

Outside of being a mom, I work at a non-profit downtown Chicago. My job, technically falls into the Information Systems/Services field as I do a lot of development work, these days mostly database development. But more than that, I've become the business process manager and knowledge base. The entire history of the organization's business processes resides in my head.

Other than that, I spend my time exploring who I am and where I am going with my life.

I have the ability to think both logically and creatively. I'm really good at listening to idea, mulling it over and coming up with both a creative and logical solution. Be this in work, or at home. I'm the person my friends will come talk to, when they just need to talk. I enjoy making others laugh, and love to give hugs.

I've never asked, but if I took a guess, I'd say the color of my eyes, they are an odd shade of green. Beyond that, I'm quite tall, and have a tendency to blush and smile often.

Books: I read a lot. I read mostly these days for enjoyment and relaxation. That being said, I'm a girl and as a girl, I enjoy romance stories. Sure, straight out romance is great, but throw in some mystery, some comedy and drama and those are the books I find myself drawn to and enjoying. I also read sci-fi and fantasy books often.

Movies: I've really come to enjoy the super hero movies; Batman, Spider-man, Iron Man, Avengers, etc. I also enjoy a good comedy, romance or drama. About the only type of movies I don't enjoy are horrors.

Shows: Recently, I got caught up on Dr. Who, the new seasons. I also enjoy these recent shows; Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Glee and Necessary Roughness.

Music: My taste varies wildly, based on my mood, or in some cases, what I need to get done. My music library has everything from classical piano to recent pop and hip-hop and everything in between.

Foods: Chili and Hot Chicken Wings seem to top the list, closely followed by pizza and ice cream. I love cooking and try to make new things all the time.

Family & Friends

Hugs -- Hugs are awesome and a necessary party of life

Air -- We need to breathe, breathing is important

Water -- Ayup, kinda necessary too

A job -- Well, unless I win the lottery, money is kinda important

My future, where is this journey called life going to lead me? What choice that I make today will lead to a more awesome future?

What to make for dinner? Yes, I think about often. Do I feel like cooking, if so what? Do I want to try something new? Do I want to go out?

On Friday nights I'm normally doing one of two things:

1. Driving my son to spend the weekend with his father.

2. If my son is home, we've taken to enjoying Friday night's together either by heading out and trying a new restaurant or simply spending the night in watching movies and having a quiet restful night after a long week.

I've admitted a bunch already, but something I've come to realize lately, I deeply desire to be woo'd... to be romanced and swept off my feet.
