A brand new daughter! (Well a filly anyway)
My VERY, BIG, FAT, PREGNANT mare had her baby yesterday! I went out to check on the horses and found Lu standing over a beautiful, white paint filly. Mom and daughter are in fine shape. Good job Lu!
Having a good time!
The Public House (in Woodstock), shrimp & Mushroom appetizers, excellent conversation, some laughs, and a smart, fit, attractive woman! Now that's a way to spend a summer night.

Bumps and bruises.
Add some saddle sores, a few aches and pains and you will remember what it was like to start learning something new. I fell off Mickey the other day [my fault, not his] and stuff hurts. Oh well, everything still works the way it should so I'l be back riding this week. it's hard to be humble.
Lessons late in life.
Starting my English riding lessons today. As we have track thouroghbreds, it's mandatory that I ride english correctly. Heres to an open mind, and teachability. I'm actually looking forward to it so it should be fun.

Have your baby already!
My EXTREMELY fat, pregnant horse "Lu" is a hormonal monster! So I'm feeding everyone carrots yesterday and Lu figures that she should get 3 carrots for every 1 the other horses get. When I didn't give her more fast enough she bit me. She didn't want too hurt me just get my attention. Oh just have the baby already and get back to normal. Mom's can be like that.

Starting the day.
I was just out in the pasture with the horses. Those guy's were so calm and loving. They seem to be enjoying their freedom and it trickles down to me. Damn fine way to start a day.
Finally!
My horse "lu" [ the Palamino in the pictures] has FINALLY decided it's time to have her baby. I lost the pool and I didn't win the foal, but now I will finally be able to use my new saddle that's been sitting in the tack room since February. She's so fat I would think she would love to give birth just too lose 70lbs. Well, running her and her baby will do us all a world of good. Can't wait!
