My self-summary
dance. art. music. books. stories and colourful things. skulls and roses. the sublime and the kitschy. animal sweaters. reality tv.

i graduated from McGill in 2009 (marketing, organizational behaviour, art history), and have been back here in Vancouver since. i've always been into the arts: i used to be a musical theatre kid but dance is now my focus. i danced with a really diverse company and also with a hip hop crew for a while, but i'm really more interested in exploring the intersection between non-dance-y gestures, hip hop musicality and texture, and ballet/contemporary shapes. oh, and really wretched 90s jazz. i have my own style.

radiolab. ted talks.

i went through a verdana phase mid-adolescence but now i'm into garamond. i also used to be really into video games but they're a tad complicated for me these days. i miss 16-bit SNES goodness.
What I’m doing with my life
i'm working a retail job that i love and am usually busy dancing as well. i work on independent choreography projects for showcases every now and then, which are always a lot of fun, and very gratifying. i'm trying to build a body of choreographic work so that i can hopefully get into more paid choreography and creative direction gigs. i used to teach dance to kids at studios around the city, but as much as i love kids, i can't work with them.

i had applied and gotten accepted to law school for fall 2011, but i feel like i saved my life by not going. halleloo.
I’m really good at
finding obscure music, spending too much time on wikipedia, coming up with brilliant ideas for short stories and never writing them, and coming up with cool ideas for choreography and executing them.
The first things people usually notice about me
depends on the day, really. could be a weird sweater i'm wearing, and for several months of 2012 it would've been the crazy unicorn hair i had, but these days, maybe my chipper mood?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I spend a lot of time thinking about
food and drink; music as muse for mood, stories, colours, and textures; how to keep my brain from going to mush; boys; and grammar lulz
On a typical Friday night I am
chilling with my glittery pipe listening to music.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
the word extraordinaire is extraordinary because a) it's a French word that has infiltrated English, which has itself forced its own words upon other tongues (cf. "hanbaga" is "hamburger" in Japanese,) and b) it's an adjective that comes AFTER the word it describes.

"you're vs. your vs. yore: people think that "your" and "you're" are the only homophones that get mixed up in that strange twinhood of second personness, but "yore", the most elegant of the three, estranged triplet of indication of time, is often omitted. why is that. why."
