My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

I'm a 19 year old junior in college (yes, I'm smart, so don't ask, unless you want to.) I'm friendly, unassuming, and witty. Sometimes. I love life and living, and I try to find something awesome about every day that I'm alive. And I play water polo. If you watch the OC, I'm not the mean type of water polo player like they are. I'm the nice kind, who goes to school at a division 3 school who doesn't have a water polo program, so it's only people who play for fun in a club setting. So we're cool. Really. And we're not very good.

I am a wunderkind, a hoopy frood, and happily disorganized
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Majoring in international business with a linguistics focus. (I'm learning German, Japanese, Spanish, and hopefully Russian if they decide to offer it next semester.) My greatest passion and first love has always been to travel the world, and I've been privaleged enough to have gotten to do a fair amount of it already.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Reading, writing, languages, swimming, saying absolutely terrible things that make my friends wish that they had never been born with ears, classical guitar (I got a really competitive music scholarship to my school, a feat of which I am not at ALL proud), using the Scout on CS, creating intricate tangents and storylines when given very little source material.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!

Once people get over the shock of the fantastically offensive euphamisms I am frequently prone to spouting, I believe that a common observation is that I have a 'unique' ability to create tangents out of thin air. I'm able to carry on conversations comfortably with many different types of people, from very formal and intelligent business executives at scholarship dinners down to the unsavory types with whom I spend my free time. Except drug dealers. And young animals. I still haven't figured out how to get them to stop looking at me so funny.

According to all of the tests I've taken on here, I come accross as being quite arrogant. I guess that I'm not too surprised by this result, as I am very comfortable and willing to admit that I like the person who I am, and don't have a very large self-deprecating complex, unless it be in jest. Or, as my best friend Pat would put it, "You're not arrogant if you actually are better than everybody else."

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.

Favorite books: Moby Dick (Melville), The Count of Monte Cristo (DuMas), Robinson Crusoe, Mutiny on the HMS Bounty, The Gold Bug (Poe), Ender's Game (Card), The Great Divorce (Lewis), The Last Unicorn (Beagle), The Magic Puddin' (Austrailian kid's book, it seriously rocks my world!) Dune (Herbert)

Movies: Spy/espionage thrillers, action movies, Frank Herbert's Dune (The SciFi channel version, even though the orignal was cool too... although the book is way better!) Basically, I'm a consumer whore when it comes to movies - if it looks pretty, or it explodes, or it has automatic gunfire, chances are I'll like it.

Music - Delerium, Enigma, Enya, Clannad, Conjure One, Front Line Assembly, Way Out West!, The Postal Service, The Crystal Method, Hybrid, Andain, Dune, Goldfrapp, Blake Howard's Walking in the Air from The Snowman, Gabriel & Dresden, Motorcycle

Mmmm... Food... Thai, TexMex, Indonesian, Greek... etc.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

Some time to myself - what can I say, I need some space every now and then.

Electronic Music - I'm in love with ambient, chill, and electronica.

People to laugh at my ridiculously offensive jokes - I think I could make satan cry.

My personality - I love who I am, and am very comfortable with that person. (Hence my aversion to drugs, as I don't want to mess with a good thing.)

Electric Razor and/or shaving kit - I'm not so much a fan of facial hair.

Classy analog watches - Contrary to what you may have read in the Guide, I do not think that digital watches are a very neat idea. Unless they have calculators and GPS tracking capability, in which case you are cool.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.

Everything - especially about who I am, and what is important to me. I am very introspective, and I feel that I do know myself. I analyze everything from the nature of reality on down to the possibility of being anihilated by a falling whale or bowl of petunias.

This line from a test I took: "Others often find you arrogant, yet you have no desire to direct others, only to inform them. You must know the structure of things, and have a voracious appetite for knowledge. You are very rational in everything you do, and probably consider yourself smarter than most..." Now why would I do a stupid thing like that ;)

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
With friends - beyond that, nothing is typical. Which is a filthy, dirty lie. My life is probably not that different from yours, I just like to fool myself and others with the illusion of uniqueness.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I think that girls who are willing to dress like ninjas and pose with katanas in their profile pics are God's gift to creation. And that women in armor/combat gear are also highly attractive. Additionally, although I do have strong religious convictions, that doesn't mean I'm going to hit you over the head with a Bible, and that I am frequently willing to admit that I don't know the answer, and occasionally even admit that I'm wrong. I honestly care about what other people think, and am always willing to listen, even if I may not agree in the end.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
I'd go so far as to say that ANYONE willing to take the time to wade through my profile and get to this point will get even more points with me by messaging. Or wooing. But I like to be told how special I am, so, be as specific as possible. If you message me in a foreign language, I can pretty well guarantee that I'll respond, and I would hug you and weep for joy if I were physically able. Maybe.
