I'm a proto-typical nerdy guy, really. I'd say I strove to be so, but it comes naturally. INTP if you want to get more specific. I'm a guy who loves his job, but wants to leave early every day. I'm male, obviously (I hope). I'm a part-time amateur writer, riffer, and voice actor. I'm not really the outdoorsey type, but I do have to sit in awe sometimes of things bigger and older than me, which nature tends to have a lot of.

I am wittful, nerdy, and pondering

Working my new office type job. The first I've ever had, which makes me instantly want to watch "the Office" just so I can talk about it at the watercooler, assuming that there is a watercooler somewhere in the building. Writing both a novel and a screenplay, and working occasionally on a home made Mystery Science Theater 3000 rip off as well. (check it out, pdbasement.blogspot.com) Looking for the watercooler.

Oh, and obsessively looking at who's stalking me.

Stretching jokes beyond their natural lifespans. Shelving DVDs. Organizing my various collections. Thesaurus jokes. Trivia both pointless and slightly less pointless. Cracking wise on bad movies. Cracking unwise on good movies. Turning off the mediocre ones. Pop culture references both obvious and obscure. Audio editing.

Books: Non-fiction and comic books mostly. The non-fiction is mostly history with a dash of sociology and economics thrown in for bad measure. Favorite authors off the top of my head: Douglas Adams, Cornelius Ryan, John Keegan, Stan Lee, Steve Gerber, and Peter David. I apparently also read one fiction classic a year, last year it was "Catcher in the Rye" this year, who knows? (Update: it's two so far this year! "Lolita" & "Hitchhiker's Guide Guide to Galaxy")

Movies: The Iron Giant. Rocky. Juno. Clerks. Star Wars of course, the Marx Brothers. 30's Screwball comedies. Live action kids movies. Sci-fi unless they're pretentious. Actually anything if it's not pretentious or is just really good at hiding it. Oh and anything on or similar too something from Mystery Science Theater or in other words, bad.

Music: Bad techno. Melancholy "alternative". Most of the decade of the 1990's. A slight amount of the decade of the 1890's, (mainly: "Daisy") Not really attached to any bands though, I must say. Favorite song of all time is a live version I have of "A Long December," for what that's worth.

Food: Almost anything non-spicy. Bonus points if it includes chocolate or avocado.

Sources of information. A hobby. Occasional companionship. Occasional alone time. Air conditioning. Food/water/shelter.

The future of humanity. I really do. And honestly, in contrast to most people I've met, I'm quite optimistic about said future, or as I just now heard a great man say, "Cynicism is a sorry kind of wisdom."

I haven't had many free Friday nights in six months or more, which was a different life ago.

I have no idea what to do with myself.

I'm balding. Slowly, but I am. I wish I could wake up one morning and it'd just fallen all off, but alas, nature takes its time.
