I am a cheerful, confident, self sufficient woman with a great sense of humor. I enjoy life in general and find almost anything and anyone interesting enough to pursue. My family and my children are the center of my life and I enjoy spending time with them.

Now that my children are older, I would like to find some companionship and friends for myself with some different interests. I would like to get more physically fit and would like to try more outdoor activities.

I am 48 years old, single, and straight

Right at the moment, I am thinking of changing my career goals; perhaps going back to school to specialize in a particular area of counseling or nursing. As my children become more and more independent, I can take some time to consider what I would like to pursue.

I am a good listener...and also a good talker! I love to discuss different points of view and learn about new things. Can't go to bed without learning at least one new thing a day.

People have told me they notice that I am always smiling. My kids might not agree but..being a parent requires some scowling at times. I am a very calm person in most situations and I rarely lose my cool.

I like murder mysteries! Movies, I like Star Trek, Shrek, Monsters Inc. (excellent animation, notice how the fur moves!) I like all kinds of music...well, except for hard rap or that very loud noise that is suppose to be music.

I like all kinds of food and I like to cook. My favorite food is probably Italian but I like just about any kind of food...that isn't eaten raw.

Lately about politics. Nothing is really black and white and it is interesting to notice how my politics has shifted as I get older. The country is changing and although I am a very respectful person, I feel we are getting much to sensitive and much to "PC". People are afraid to have opinions of their own and they are afraid to defend what they think, want or desire for themselves or their families.

Usually out to eat with friends but home to watch Numbers with my friends! I know...lol..but I like that show.

I am willing to admit that I am much to private and much to smart to admit anything on an internet site.
