My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Good-natured, open-minded, intelligent and considerate. I try to find the best in everything, and usually it works.

I have a thing for the written word and current events.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a newspaper editor, which entails choosing what's going in, proofreading and designing pages. Sports four days a week and a features section on the fifth. About halfway to living the dream.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing. Laying out the newspaper. Shooting a basketball. Running. Tweeting. Reciting movie lines. Poker. Identifying Helvetica. Deleting Oxford commas, making "cellphone" one word and not using "over" when I mean "more than."
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Specs, smile, spotty facial hair coverage
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: I really liked The Art of Fielding. That and most of the classics you read in high school. I've started and restarted Ulysses a lot of times in the last five years. I like Joyce's Dubliners collection of short stories. In fact, I generally enjoy shorter fiction as opposed to novels. And well done journalism/non-fiction makes me happy.
Movies: Lots of 'em.
Shows: Breaking Bad, Modern Family, The Simpsons, Seinfeld, How I Met Your Mother, Survivor, The X-Files, Bar Rescue.
Music: Bob Dylan. Eminem. Weird Al. The Sword. Pearl Jam. Beastie Boys. Mumford and Sons. Queen. Pretty much anything.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Apart from the essentials:

1. Dylan's music. Guy's got songs for any emotion a listener might be experiencing at any given moment.
2. Sports. Kinda cheesy, but they are a microcosm of life in many ways. Plus, I often marvel at the athleticism displayed.
3. Baseball caps and t-shirts. I often go into Lids or other stores where they sell hats and wind up not buying anything because I want to buy everything. But don't worry, I don't leave the stickers on the brims or anything like that.
4. Tennis shoes. I'm less infatuated with shoes than I am hats and t-shirts, but I need a pair if I want to be running or participating in other sport-like activities.
5. A medium to keep up with current events. Cuz I just needs to know!
6. Netflix. I mean, come on.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Sports. The news. How to keep the newspaper looking good. How to keep improving myself.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Trawling Twitter for high school sports scores, posting articles online, a dash of writing and having a brew or two when it's all over.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I read waaaay less than a journalist with an English minor should...
