My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a nerd. I can see your mouse moving to the 'back' button already. :) It's ok. I love my nerdliness. It works well for me. I'm into Star Trek, DnD, Fantasy, Scifi, gaming, comics, Pretty much anything you're thinking a nerd might be into, I'm into.

I come from a big family, and have a sister and three GAY brothers. We talk all the time.

I'm a lifelong atheist, and recently encountered Buddhism. I liked that it fit pretty well into my life, and doesn't tell me anything of life's destinations, only sits as a companion on my journey.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Staying alive. Living. Remembering to breathe every once in a while.

I graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in English, and had been in a Secondary Ed Teacher Program, but then life happened. Long story. I'll tell you sometime.

I decided to move out to Portland, and finally found a great job with a company that really cares about their employees.

I'm thinking of going back to school after a year or two to get my Masters. I just need to figure out what it is I'd like to do. Hopefully I'll learn that in the meantime.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love creating new stuff. I enjoy writing, knitting, and I make games.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm pretty average, physically. If I were funnier, I'd be cast as one of those husbands on some CBS sitcom. Other than that, probably how empathetic I am, Once I get to know a little about someone, they know they can share just about anything with me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I love scifi/fantasy novels. The Wheel of Time series, and most Star Trek (I already said I'm a nerd) books. I am writing my own book that has an adventure/fantasy plot with some real live GAY/BI characters!

I like sitcoms and cartoons. (Like the simpsons, family guy). Star Trek is fantabulous, and I could watch it anytime. I love movies like the next guy, and will list some of my favorites you may not have heard of in the hopes that you'll check them out: Miss Pettigrew lives for a Day, Mansfield Park, The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra. I love the Saw series as a guilty pleasure, and anything Paul Rudd has ever been in.

I generally like alt music. My faves include Regina Spektor, Imogen Heap, Ingrid Michaelson, Katie Nash, Girlyman, The White Stripes, Belle and Sebastian, MC Frontalot, Counting Crows, and Jason Mraz, but I can learn to love just about anything.

As for food, I love comfort foods and spicy things. And cheese. I hate Onions, Olives, and most Seafood.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A comfortable bed
My phonographic memory for songs i like
My family
Bootcut jeans
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Existential stuff. The future. The past. How one can affect the other. Honestly, just a lot of thinking.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
babysitting my two adorable nephews, while my sister and her husband go out for a little relaxation. We call it date night. :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I once stayed up in college studying so hard for an organic chemistry final exam that when I showed up, I sat down, answered everything I could as best as I knew how, and scratched my brain until time was called. It wasn't until I ran into my friend who had helped me with a problem set earlier in the year (because she was in the next class up) handing in her exam that I realized I had just taken the wrong exam.

It was so embarrassing having to relay that story first to the proctor, then to my professor, his boss, and finally to the proctor of the make-up exam.

You are a nerd, too. Nerds are pretty hot.

You'd like to make a new friend, and maybe introduce me to some more!

You are not the type of person who says they like to "Work hard and play hard". WTF does that mean?
